Wait, what? How do we know Garrett did? He's the OC and now head coach. If he didn't write the playbook and install the offense, who did? Jerry wouldn't even know how to do that even if he wanted to.

I doubt very seriously any coach who's seen he has a QB with a propensity for bad turnovers at the worst time would willingly want that guy to have as much control over the play calls, hence why I said what I di. That sure sounds like a "Coach Jones" thing after all the garbage he spewed after Romo's contract extension.

And I know Romo isn't perfect. But he's a better QB than Garrett is coach. Without a doubt.

Maybe he is, but that isn't saying much. Neither one of them is a championship caliber coach or player.

And I don't think he's a Deion type to go straight to Jerry, either. He's a good team guy.

Sure he isn't TE. Sure he isn't. Tony "Cancun" Romo is a good team guy. Had to have all sorts of freedom and more power written into his contract. Yeah, he doesn't go to Jerry for shit.

Foles put up about 10x the yards and points he did the game in Philly, too.

I'm sure playing in a dome vs in cold winds had nothing to do with it.

I was thinking there might have been one other that went with Romo and Witten, anyone remember for sure?

You could win with Romo, but you need to surround him with the right pieces and you'd need to keep him in check. Garrett has that same pass happy mentality as Romo, so he's fine letting Romo audible into passing plays. The play calls are probably designed to make that an easy option.

Parcells had Romo nailed. There is a reason he came up with that list of commandments for him.
