Mark Ingram would be the most interesting free agent if Murray leaves, unless Peterson gets released.

I don't think franchising Murray and drafting his potential replacement in the 2nd or 3rd round is a bad idea.

But the deep RB draft/free agent crop combined with the opinion of most that you don't need to overpay RB's anymore means he might not be in line for a bust the bank deal, and if that plays out there's a decent chance we could have him back on a reasonable contract.
