@BabeLaufenberg: Disappointed for Gavin Escobar. Out for undetermined time with head injury. Was having a GREAT camp.

@DMN_George: Jason Garrett said TE Gavin Escobar is undergoing concussion testing. Won't practice Tuesday. Club is off Wednesday.

Dez hurt. Beasley hurt. Escobar hurt. Both tackles missing. Don't bother suiting up in Frisco, Tony.

I think w/o Tyron Smith, Leary and Free it was highly unlikely Romo was gonna play this weekend.

I bet he'll get all or most of the first half in the 3rd game and that will be it for his preseason.

Everyone knows that if you have an "injury" you get as much time off as you want.

Wouldn't be suprised if these guys are malingering.

I remember saying that if Dez didn't get the exact contract he wanted there might be some hammy issues or other un-xrayable soft tissue "injuries."

But truly I can't blame these guys all that much - camp SUCKS it is repetitive and dull, fraught with actual real injury risk, and way, way too long before actual tune-ups for competitive play begin.

And if they come back too early and get re-injured? First thing you bitches will be saying is how dumb the coaching staff is. Double standard.

I hate the whole camp thing. Players do too.

It’s just too long. Football is a year around thing for these players and they come to camp in shape. Sure they have to adjust to the speed and get accumulated to their teammates but training camp and preseason games are an outdated thing.

I know as a fan, i am already tired. I have watched every single training camp video and read every article. I’m tired of training camp, i could only imagine how the players feel.

I don't think training camp is such a bad thing. How else are teams going to evaluate and train FAs, UDFAs, and drafted players ... or develop younger players?

I'm in favor of teams being prepared for Week 1.

No doubt. Even the vets need some time. I remember Parcells playing starters even in Game 4 of preseason when most teams sit everyone. Why? Because he didn't think the team in sync and playing well enough yet and needed more time to sharpen up.

So apparently camp isn't just a big time kill where only bad things happen.

Nobody is saying training camp is bad. The actually length of it is the concern. I don’t think veteran players need it as much. Sure the younger guys you need to push them and find out what they are made of. But if you sit your vets the hacks are saying OMG what a weak camp!

I am in favor of actually having a team for week 1. According to Stephen Jones, half the team is injured.

I think you shorten it greatly, and add 10 players to the allowed final roster for each team and expand the practice squad to 10 players. Have only two preseason games, then the games count after that.
