Meanwhile we're paying Rico Geathers 499,990 a year to be on our practice squad. Rookie minimum for a player on our active roster is only 10 more. We're paying him this so he isn't tempted to leave should someone give him an offer.

Why not offer Escobar as trade bait and then bring Geathers onto the active roster. Hell, a conditional 7th is better than nothing.

Escobar couldnt block me but I dont hold him responsible for them not using him properly. IIRC correctly when he was drafted they were supposed to go heavy 12 package. Remember he was going to be Aaron Hernandez to Wittens Gronk. Along comes Linehan who likes the 11 package and the rest is history. I also bet Escobar has like 75% of hs production against the Giants. Then on top of all this watch them draft OJ Howard next year.
