I am very thankful we won that game. But holy shit, the panthers played Dallas cowboys football and blew that game

1) Penalties - I don't know how many Carolina had, but they came at awful times. Ruined a few drives for them

2) Dropped passss - two different instances on 3rd and long they should have converted and both WRs dropped passes

3) Bad Breaks - Cam INT in red zone, no PI call on Mo (even though I don't think it was PI-had that been our WR, this board would be throwing fits)

I'm sure there are more but I am relieved to finally be on the other side of one of these

Other thoughts

I'm seeing Carr getting roasted by fans-is he revis? Absolutely not. But he is definitely not getting toasted like some are saying

Bob made a good point in the game thread. Romo has to be perfect with these bozos on this team. If not, every mistake is magnified. Can't miss Austin on that easy TD. The ball that should have been an INT was classic Romo. Pimp fake to get the LB to bite-he doesn't-and Romo throws it right to him. None the less, we won the game on his shoulders

Defense was SOOOOOOO much better today. Anyone who suggest the pass rush wasn't significantly better is blind. Good to see some inside pressure.

Edit** how could I forget the horse collar flag on Carolina! Hahaha. What a bad call. That literally may have won us the game. Gave us a huge FG an took about a minute more off the clock.

I agree.

"Significantly" better would net more than 2 sacks, one of which was practically the last play of the game.

I think the pass rush is better.

What I don't understand is - and I've seen this a number of games this year - how we can get 2 or three guys plus the offensive lineman who are trailing them and they all converge on the QB and you think sure as shit it's a sack... when all of a sudden the QB just emerges from the group and either scrambles for a first or throws a pass down the field.

We seem to be the masters of getting there and then letting them escape somehow.

Oh, just the most important play of the game. No big deal. No. None at all.

There were multiple forced throws yesterday due to pressure.

I've said it since week 1..unless we create more chaos, the turnovers won't come. Just so happens Brent ate up Cam and forced a bad throw, and what do you know? Our first INT by a DB. There were at least two other throws during the game that fit this description as well.

The defense needs much more of this. There were a total of 0 of these plays the last 2 games

Wasnt' a sack, but the pass rush (Brent blowing up the middle) lead to the Morris interception in the end zone.

Couldn't agree more, man. This was a lot like the Tampa game. They committed a ton of penalties and their QB was awful. An average team beat a below-average team in the NFL. Not much more to it than that.

I guess I'll give up on this team being better than this, because this is now a long stretch of mediocre to bad football except for that Giants game. Very disappointing.
