Former police officer shot and killed inside his home in Mexico

A former police officer was shot and killed inside his home in Mexico.
“A former municipal police officer from San Pedro Garza García was shot to death inside his home, located in the Hacienda del Sol neighborhood, in the municipality of García.
The attack occurred at around 4:55 p.m. at the house number 494 on Hacienda del Moral Street.
According to reports, a man got out of a black pickup truck in front of the house, entered the premises and fired several shots at Villasana Reyes. The attacker fled without being identified.
According to police sources, the deceased was identified as Luis Ángel Villasana Reyes, 33 years old.
Civil Protection officers confirmed the death of the man, who had at least three gunshot wounds: one in the right arm, another in the right chest and a third in the left side of the body.
At the scene, experts located six 9mm caliber shells, three more .40 caliber shells and two warheads on the public road, in addition to seven bullet impacts in the rear window of a dark gray Volkswagen Jetta vehicle with license plates, owned by the deceased.
Police sources said Villasana Reyes had been a municipal police officer in San Pedro Garza García, but was inactive at the time of the attack.
The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Nuevo Leon has already begun the corresponding investigations to determine the whereabouts of the person responsible.”
