This is Al Davis all over again.
30 of 32 NFL teams have a GM. The other "owner/GM" is Mike Brown and 1) he's finally gotten decent and 2) he doesn't spread himself as thin as Jerry does.Should he hire a GM? Sure, but so should pretty much every other God damn team.
Just wow.
since our last NFC Championship game appearance 17 years ago, 13 of the 16 NFC teams have made an appearance. Only Detroit, Washington, and us have failed to make it. One common denominator in 17 years for those Dallas Cowboy squads.

I really don't see how any reasonable person can honesty think Jerry isn't the problem.
There have been 19 super bowls held since the last time we won one (1995). 10 different franchises have won those 19 super bowls. In 1995 there were 30 franchises. So a third of the league has won a super bowl since 1995.
The two expansion franchises (Browns and Texans) are 0-1 and 2-2 in the playoffs in their existence. That's right, the Texans started out as an expansion team in 2002, and they have more playoff wins in their 10 seasons than the Cowboys do in the past 17.
The number of teams who don't have a playoff win in the past 17 years is 4. Cincinnati hasn't won a playoff game in 22 seasons, Detroit - 21, Kansas City - 19, Buffalo - 17.
So if you measure franchise success by playoff wins, there are 4 franchises who are worse than the Cowboys over the past 17 years.
The number of franchises who haven't been to a conference championship game since after the 1995 season is 9. In addition to the four mentioned above, throw in Dallas, Washington, Miami and the expansion Cleveland and Houston.
Put this altogether and the Cowboys have been a bottom fifth of the league franchise since 1995 in terms of playoff success. So 2/3 of the league doesn't suck ass like us, it's more like 1/5. And I'd wager these other bottom feeding franchises have made front office changes during that time. At least they're acknowledging that changes need to be made. We've been trying to force a square peg into a round hole for 17 years.
Look at the list of teams at our level or worse than us since 1995.
Kansas City
Cincinnati
Buffalo
Cleveland
Miami
Washington
Detroit
Houston (??)
Is that who we want to be associated with?
From the beginning of 1996 to today:
Dallas: 142-138
Jacksonville: 136-144
