Because other than Emmitt that year, there wasn't shit otherwise, rookie wise..

His '90 season was shit compared to '91.

No one's been "anointed" there's merely legitimate comparisons in post #2 of the thread. Nothing disputable in that. Making up shit that wasn't said or asserted, is the false way to try to attack it. It's weenieville.

He was offensive rookie of the year. He had over 1100 yards from scrimmage, and scored 11 TDs. That isn't exactly weak sauce, and they didn't feature Emmitt right away either.

I posted his numbers in more detail, and people clearly had some revisionist history when thinking about what Emmitt's rookie year was like. He was a good player but he got off to a really slow start and only had three 100+ yd games.

And they didn't "feature him" right away because he held out so long.
