Coslet at least had been ok somewhere before he came here. Shula was never any good before, or after he left here.

Then there was mafia Don's comments of "this is gonna ruin your coaching career" to Gary Stevens in 1991, Stevens was set to leave Miami to become OC for Jimmy, but mafia Don was pissed at Jimmy for firing his dipshit son. Stevens never amounted to anything else, we ended up with Norv Turner (I believe he was the 3rd choice) and Turner parlayed two super bowl titles under Jimmy into multiple HC jobs, and is widely regarded as one of the best offensive coordinators/playcallers/QB developers in the modern era of the NFL.
