It seems journalists have a bone to pick with Texas A&M and their selection of non-conference opponents (Arkansas, LaTech, SFA and FIU).

Kevin Sherrington from DMN:

Another advantage of college football that I failed to mention the other day is that they don't play preseason games. They play Louisiana schools instead. Or Stephen F. Austin. Or Florida International. By the time Texas A&M's schedule really kicks in, we may not know if the Aggies are any good, but they could be just about bowl-eligible.

and Mac Engel at the Star-Telegram:

Texas A&M needs to play tougher schedule

The Aggies are midway through their "Bill Snyder Scheduling For Dummies" and sit where they should be: 2-0 after a 48-16 win against Louisiana Tech on Saturday. The Aggies spent probably more than $1 million to guarantee a 3-0 record by the end of next week, and will be halfway toward eligibility for the Texas Bowl. Money well spent.

My only question is why all the hate? It isn't like we are playing for a Big 12 title or threaten TCU for a better bowl game. Our non-conference schedule is about on par with UT, Tech, OSU and TCU's conference schedule.
