Is he like Roy Williams and doesn't watch football, prefers movies or something? No matter where you grew up you should know those names.

Maybe we can blame NFLN for their idiotic "10 Best" shows instead of the great classic NFL Films stuff.

I don't agree. Most random kids these days won't know who those guys are. Non Tx kids

No kidding. You needn't have grown up as a Dallas fan to know who Dorsett and Walker were. Jeez.

Or that Tom Landry is dead.

I was shocked about the great Tony d.

Also he was asked which iconic team the cowboys lost two super bowls to in the 70's

His answer

The jets.

You'd think that someone who plays football for a living would know a little bit about the history of the game. And not ancient history, either.

Exactly. We know that Walter Payton wasn't a nosetackle and that Vince Lombardi is dead even though we aren't fans of those teams.

And this isn't some random kid, but a guy who is making his living in the game and you would think loved it growing up.

Maybe the simple answer is that Danny Coale is a dumbass.

I can't be mad. I had to google some of those names myself.

And when did Landry die?

It is kids now days. I was listening to a show today and they did an informal poll in a bar asking 20 something's if they knew who Joe Montana, Vince Lombardi and OJ Simpson were. Most didn't know who Lombardi was. A few knew who Montana was, but everyone knew OJ killed his wife.

Good. At least they knew the important stuff

Not sure why it's expected for him to know the game. He was probably busy playing it at a high enough level to get drafted into the NFL while some of yall were watching it on TV and reading facts from the Zone Historian.

Rivalries and historical stuff are purely fan-driven. Proof? Here you go:
