I really want us to keep Pickens, but honestly if his money has to be north of Lamb's I don't see how they can do it.

Trading Pickens before or during the draft might be more of an option than most of us expected.

No way they pay him more than Lamb, although I think the guy could be a decent #1 but he's going to price himself out of our market. Hopefully some team will be willing to trade for him if we can't get him signed.

I guess there would need to be a huge leap by Fluornoy as WR2 but he did flash impressively last year.
Well it's a pretty good WR draft. If they trade Pickens I would have to assume one of our early picks would go towards replacing him.

Miami got a 1st, 3rd and a swap of 4th rd picks for Waddle, and Pickens is younger, bigger and better than he is. I would have to think our draft haul would be similar if not better.

They must be at least thinking about it because at least one of our Top-30 visits is known to be Indiana WR Omar Cooper, who's expected to be picked in 15-30 area of the 1st rd.

Yep, I'd be good with all those viable options.

So, what's the CB room rundown so far, starters and backups...?
Revel and Bland on the outside and Durant in the slot and Carson, Stewart, Butler and now Balentine serving as any combination of positional depth backups?
Who'd I miss?
TBD. We obviously will have the draft and at least one more new CB. Maybe two.

I don't have much expectations for Butler (coming off injury) and Balentine. I think Stewart had some decent moments last yr and might be a solid 4th/5th CB. This is probably Carson's last chance, albeit he may def benefit from better coaching but he may or may not be here opening day.

Jalen Thomspon also offers a lot of position flex as he can line up pretty much anywhere.

i dont think they'll trade or sign anyone significant but i definitely think they'll draft high and the rookie will play

bland has missed a lot of time since getting paid and hasn't been close to same player he was in his first 2 yrs here

revel has the lead spot to displace bland and put him on the hot seat

Yeah, based off your summary here we really need some return to pre-injury form from both Bland and Revel. I'm more concerned about Bland than Revel as I'm thinking that Revel will now have had the full recovery and rehab time he needed to return to the player he was prior to his knee surgery coming out of college. Kinda like how Javonte Williams timeline played out for him and how he returned post surgery.

With Bland I am not sure. His best attribute was the timing of routes and jumping them based off edge pressure. I thinks it's no coincidence his pick numbers declined drastically after Micah left. And there still is no Micah type edge presence.

That and the fact that both his lower leg/foot injuries happened one after another gives me pause in believing if he can return to what he was. For me he's a damaged goods wait and see type.
I'll just hope for the best I guess.
