I don't recall the Colts defenses being "really" good, they were certainly better than what we fielded this yr (which is saying nothing) but "really good" seems like a stretch.

Zimmer's defenses were the Prescott of defensive numbers. Great against bad teams and horrible QB's, choked like hell in crunch times and big games.

And Gannon implemented his defense the last 3 yrs in Arizona, and the results were awful.

Scoring defense:

2023: 31st 2024: 15th 2025: 29th

Total defense:

2023: 25th 2024: 21st 2025: 27th
his regular season defnsive overall rankings as a DC/Asst. were really good, not sure if injuries or whatever played a role in the bottom falling out

definitely not a fan of his time with AZ, but its the 1st stint as a HC, so that happens. some coaches are just better off as a coordinator than a HC

ulbrich is good too

i mean, really just go down the list of candidates (college or pro) and anyone would do a better job than eberflus

NO C Walker is pretty connected there at The Star, he is also intimating that Schotty never really wanted Eberflus.

Wonder what QW knows.

He was great with NYJ when Jeff Ulbrich was DC (Whitecotton also on that staff)

I understand what their point is and it shouldn't be completely downplayed, but these guys also made a ton of great catches to make him look good too.

That said, way too many drops (again) this year.
