My support is for Fredrick to get well not for Cowboys sake. This is a life issue not a football issue.

However, If Dak Prescott gets this Cowboys team to win the NFC East and playoff birth, he would do something that no other Cowboys QB has done in the history of the Dallas Cowboys. He will do it without his starting C, TE, and WR from the previous season. There is no way the Cowboys and Dak Prescott can overcome this much lost and do it without a lot of external help (Eagles loss there QBs, Washington finds not running game, NY loses Manning, Beckham and Barkley).

This is not based on opinion but facts. Do you want to know why the Cowboys went 3 years in a row 5-11? Take a look at the C position, TE, and WR. It was a turnstile of players that could not play football. Especially at the C position. Do you want to know why the Cowboys went 3 years 8-8 after going 6-10? Take a look at the C Position in those years.

The Cowboys C position under Landry was long and historic from Dave Manders to John Fitzgerald to Tom Rafferty. Rafferty got injured and Tom Landry started losing. Enter Jimmy Johnson and watch him make sure he drafted Mark Stepnoski. You want to know why the Dallas Cowboys continued a 90's Dynasty see Stepnoski back ups; Tony Slaton, Frank Cornish, his replacement Ray Donaldson, and his back up Derek Kennard. Without a starting C and quality C back up, the Cowboys do not win. When you throw in no no.1 TE or no.1 WR you get what got Landry fired, Gailey fired, Campo's head coaching record of 3 years in a row 5-11, and Garrett's 8-8 purgatory for 3 years in a row.

Bill Parcells first move was to get a C , TE, and WR for his QB. He drafted a C and then moved Andre Gurode to the C position and then you started winning. He drafted Jason Witten. Then he signed Terry Glenn, and Keyshawn Johnson. Jimmy Johnson went the same route drafting Mark Stepnoski, inheriting Michael Irvin (that was also planned as he was already approached by Cowboys brass to replace Tom Landry), and signing FA Jay Novacek, a pass catching extraordinaire TE that could not block (see my comments on Rico Gathers). Football is not rocket science. That is why PE teachers coach and Doctors of physics don't coach football.

Dak must now do the impossible. Staubach had Fitzgerald, and Rafferty at C, Mike Ditka, Billy Joe Dupree at TE, and Bob Hayes/lance Alsworth, and Drew Pearson at WR. Danny White had Tom Rafferty at C, Doug Cosbie at TE and Drew Pearson and Tony Hill at WR. Troy Aikman had Mark Stepnoski, Ray Donaldson and Derek Kennard at C, Jay Novecek at TE and Micheal Irvin at WR. So what do you think Dak Prescott is going to do with Looney, Swain, and Hurns?

Jerry Jones made the bad decisions that got Aikman without a C and TE, and Romo without a C. He actually tried to avoid the risk this year but it was not the sound going for a Super Bowl decision that Landry, Jimmy and Parcells type decision. He signed Looney and Martin. But Martin is hurt and Looney is not a 16 game long term answer at C. So the Cowboys need to make more roster decisions. However, if you actually wanted to go for a Super Bowl you would have kept Johnathan Cooper who was a 1st round graded C out of college. What a difference he would have made being kept on the roster. That is a Super Bowl type decision. Certain positions you can not be cheap with starters and depth. The Cowboys cheap philosophy has Dak trying to do something no Cowboys QB has ever done.

Jerry already has his built in excuses for Garrett this season but hopefully he will finally have enough and send Garrett packing. A poor season resulting in Garrett getting fired is a price worth paying. Another poor season and retaining Garrett is just more of the SOS

Yep and this is my selfish reason for wanting the team to stay as healthy as possible.

That's a lot of words just to say it's not Daks fault if they lose. :)

Yep nothing but tripe, built-in pre-emptive excuse-making that the OP figures if he buries it deep enough in mindless bullshit and word salad, nobody will notice.
