Arenas was a 2nd rd pick of the Chiefs a few yrs ago. I don't think he has much as a CB but he was an explosive return guy at Alabama

The Jets cut 12 players to pare the roster to 78. Released: CB Javier Arenas, T James Brewer, CB Curtis Brown, C Dalton Freeman, WR TJ Graham, WR Saalim Hakim, WR Austin Hill, LB Bryan Johnson, TE Matt LaCosse, CB Keith Lewis and WR DeVier Posey.

What's up with him? I remember some injury concerns but he also showed a lot of promise at one point, didn't he?


I remember one Dallas media guy - Bill Jones I think - loved the guy.

Bill Jones is a huge OU homer, though. I think that explains that.

Although I thought he'd be better than he was. He pretty much was nothing. I think it was mostly a case of him playing in that spread with good QBs in college, and being small and not particularly fast by NFL standards. Just too average physically.

Not worried about the future this year when we have 3 more seasons of Romo. If you think Jennings can help, you bring him in.

David Moore just said the Cowboys weren't going to be interested. Said he's an older McFadden... Not so sure about that comparison though. Jackson has been a pretty healthy guy.

I think it was just a numbers game. The Bills have McCoy, Bryce Brown, Boobie Dixon, and rookie Karlos Williams.

As an aside, he's from Arlington.

They have some good RB's and had traded for Lesean McCoy

Yeah, looked it up and he's 34. Didn't realize he'd been around that long. Maybe he is done.

As an aside, the Bills RB group looks about 100x better than ours. Kind of jealous.

Jackson is older, but he's never been a 250-300 carry back. We wouldn't be asking him to carry that kind of load ideally. If Randle stayed healthy, Jackson's probably not getting 25% of the RB touches.

Guess we announced were not interested in Jackson at this time.

Team seems to be on board the Randall/McFadden train.

But also I don't think were going to be interested in signing any veteran prior to week one because it would guarantee their salary for the year.
