He played the ball like a WR in college because he was playing man and was able to outplay the guy he was covering for the ball. Having him drop into a zone requires him to think more.

He was running those guys routes in college and anticipating where the ball was going to be at. In a zone, your job is to cover an area and get to wherever the ball is going.

Whatever the case may be, he just can't do it in the NFL.
