Can't re-sign Spencer

This team does a horrendous job dishing out contracts. We are absolutely the worst team in the nfl when it comes to managing the cap. Something crazy like 25% of this years cap is tied up in dead money. We consistently have to restructure deals just to create space because of all the bad contracts we hand out.

Sure Spencer is a very good player, but he is far from deserving of a huge contract. This team needs to start getting rid of some players..we do a great job of holding on to almost all of our players, too bad we are hanging on to a bunch of losers. There's no better time to start changing the culture and players on this team than now.

Let spencer go
Jenkins was never coming back anyways
Make some cuts if we need to
No need to sign high priced FAs this year
Start building the right way-via the draft

Draft Spencer's replacement
Take the money saved on spencer and sign multiple players to help fill other holes with serviceable players

This team has no fuckin clue to how operate. Jerry jones is worthless. He literally does nothing right.

Agreed. We don't know when to let players go.

Jay Ratliff, for example. He needs to be let go this off season. Gerald Sensabaugh. See ya.

It's like Jerry is gearing up for '96 all over again. Bloat the roster with expensive vets and then glide to a Super Bowl ring before it's time to tear it all down.

Been going on since 1999.

You can't just start letting everyone go because we've handed out some bad contracts. Spencer is an important part of this team, and I don't get the feeling he is any type of problem character wise. Don't break the bank for him, but we have to keep some continuity, or this team is never going to turn the corner.

We have enough holes on this team to fill without creating another one.

We're dying to get out of a ton of contracts right now hoping the damage is minimal. There's a good chance we'd similarly regret a big spencer deal

True but if we can spend his money on like jake long or Andy Levitre while drafting an OLB then were better off for the future

Spencer is going to break the bank and he is not even remotely close to worth it.

It's true, you can't get rid of every bloated contract, but you don't get rid of one and then break even by resigning Spencer.

He's never been great until this year, coincidentally a contract year. We should replace him with someone cheaper.

Spencer's replacement = Michael Johnson
Free's replacement = Sebastian Vollmer

These are actually decent suggestions.

This team needs to learn how to sign quality mid tier FAs.

As opposed to bust top tier FAs

Franchise and trade.

Someone will pay a 6th to avoid a bidding war.
