I don't know guys. When you say "scientists and military officials in the nuclear or aerospace industry" that could literally be many thousands of people. They're cutting such a large swath with that list that they also include contractors and even an administrative assistant. Now, if they all worked on the same project, as opposed to being scientists or government employees, then maybe I'd see something.

You're right we need more context but it's still a little odd.

that's a great point, the thing that stands out to me is the number of these people who are listed as "missing"

In the video Doomsday posted, 5 of the 10 people are missing, the other 5 are dead. If they were all just dead it would seem to strengthen your point.

That's an extremely high percentage in my opinion and I bet if there's a stat available that shows the number of missing people in the US as a percentage of the entire population, it would be well under 1/10th of 1% (but I'm admittedly totally guessing here)
