They have the 1st pick in the draft. I don't think I'd use that selection on simply the best QB in the class. He better be the best player too. Or at least right there in the discussion.

I think he's in the discussion. A QB will always hold more value when its such a big need. Especially when you're sitting in a position to get your franchise guy.

Another thing I'd be worried about if I were the Panthers is not having a 2nd round pick... Trading down and acquiring more selections would be pretty tempting.
