IRVING, Texas – While most draftniks focus their mock draft on the first or first and second rounds, the guys at Scouts Inc. have gone through the entire seven-round process.

For those of you wanting the Cowboys to go heavy on the offensive line, they didn’t disappoint. Three of the team’s six picks were on the offensive line.

Here you go:

1 – DL Sheldon Richardson, Missouri
2 – OL Kyle Long, Oregon
3 – S. J.J. Wilcox, Georgia Southern
4 – CB Sanders Commings, Georgia
5 – OT Ricky Wagner, Wisconsin
6 – C Khaled Holmes, Southern Cal

That would leave the Cowboys on the lookout for running backs, wide receivers and tight ends if the draft fell this way. Richardson, Long and Wilcox were among the team’s national visitors. Holmes would be a good get in the sixth round.

I think we take one offensive lineman in this draft.

If we go heavy it will be on DL and RB/WR.

No I suspect we think our Oline is alot better than fans think it is. I think we'll try to get a tackle so we can drop Free. But I think that will be about it. just a feeling.

Wish all our fans were as astute as me.

If they didn't think it was important, they wouldn't have used their top pick in 2 of the last 3 drafts to take one

Picking Frederick where they did told me how they feel about the line. Further events in the Doug Free story will reveal more.

Quite frankly that unit sucked and Callahan made alot of BS spin doctoring to cover up for the team.

Free and early Bernadeau having zero anchor. Livings playing decidedly average outside of an occasional stretch play or combo block with Smith. Cook got int he way okay but he got no push at all. Smith was inconsistent.

The difference between Frederick and what we got from Cook last year is likely to be a chasm. The same idea would be true to lesser degree for either guard spot. Who knows what's up with Costa, his back or ability, moreso with Parnell, and even moreso with Leary and Arkin.

I keep going through line permutations with what we have and don't like any of them. I would like to see them pick up Clabo. Then you can have Smith and Clabo start with Freddie and then let the Costa, Livings, Bernadeau, Leary, Arkin, Kowalski battle out or the remaining two spots be they at G or C.

There is hope at OL but that is all it is at this point: hope.

S is just another trainwreck. I have been burned too many times from Tony Dixon to Lynn Scott to Keith Davis to Alan Ball to have any real hope there. Allen is a spare. McCray has shown he cannot cover deep zones. Church is coming off one of the worst injuries in football outside of complete knee destruction. Johnson and Wilcox are small school unknowns.
