We all know K. Moore was never the answer

He was simply a stop gap. And a short shitty one at that

We drafted Dak in hopes he can be the next QB

That certainly remains to be seen

But at least he will get the extra reps now to help speed him along the learning curve

The sooner we see what Dak can or can not do the sooner we can commit our resources to fully develop him or simply move on from him

Both he and Showers will see a ton of time in pre season. Especially now that Romo's back has started to tighten up.

Nick Foles has agreed to terms to join the Chiefs, source says. Reunion with Andy Reid.

If you were Foles which red headed coach would you rather play for? One who has been successful in this league and you've played for in the past? Or this clown?

No Foles. Guess we're trading pick/s or players for a backup QB that might be here for a yr or two.

If its a pick in 2017 we'd be down to 5 I believe

Espn Ed Werder reporting that Dallas is slowing down its interest in trades. I would bet they these good ole boys went naively into a desperate situation looking for help and as Steve Dennis said "the league became bloodthirsty to see what they could get from the desperate Cowboys".

Just fascinating that there is such little foresight. I heard a whole dissertation yesterday on 105.3 about how Dallas is going to have to get more QB pressure from the inside because the outside DEs are so unproven. How does that happen? They just can't flip a switch and sudden overpower, outplay and control the opponents OL who most likely have 30-50 pounds of mass and width on the Cowboys.

As much as Crawford may be an upstanding and hardworking player, he still is undersized for the 3 technique but perfect for a 3-4 DE. Again, the teams who are perennial playoff contenders who use the 4-3 Under Defensive scheme have a very massive 1 technique and a strong 3 Technique. I don't know why Dallas thinks what they have been doing for a few years so unsuccessfully is going to suddenly revolutionize the 4-3 Under.

They really need a defensive head coach who has the foresight for the idea player and logical depth.

I heard Jason Garrett talk about looking for QBs that have the skill set for the offense. What? Prescott and Flowers are not at all the prototypes for the scheme. I just think they are players who give the defense practice against "types" of QBs but there is no actual plan for them to be the QB of the Future.

They better do something soon bc Romo obviously can't run every rep and is going to be out completely every third day. How can the skill players on offense even get any work with these two superscrubs throwing to them? You'll barely be able to evaluate them much less hope for them to improve.

And I take back my Petty thought earlier. We need a vet who already knows how to play. Our crack QB development team of Garrett & Wilson already have their hands full with Dak. They don't need two projects at once.

Both projected starting DE's get suspended?

Looks like McCown is off the table. Cleveland asking a ton from the Cowboys. I'm kind of surprised Jerry didn't do it. Now they're talking to Josh Freeman's agent. If that's the route they're going to I'd rather just start Showers or Dak.

I'd be fine with not picking up a vet back up. If Romo goes down its not going to be for a game or two. It will be for multiple games. It will be the same situation as last year.

The season will be shot at that point anyway

Might as well get Dak the reps. I doubt he will pan out in the end. But you never know. Better to find out sooner rather than later
