Well, so much for optimism. The Cardinals continued their streak against Dallas, and this team continued finding new and horrifying ways to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
No optimism from me this week, no sirs. The Indy defense was embarrassed last week by Jacksonville; they'll be looking for retribution against our inept play calling. Jonathan Taylor and Josh Downs might be on their ways out, if they are still there on Sunday they'll likely give teams a reason to make a push for them. Hell, I'll probably start Soencer Shrader over Aubrey in fantasy this week. Colts 26 Cowboys 24.

He's having a great season, and it's being wasted because of a completely incompetent defensive coordinator and HC.

That's just embarrassing but think about how desperate Schotty was take the job as the lowest paid HC. They get what they ask for.......

The Colts could trade them and replace them with the re-animated corpses of Johnny Unitas, Raymond Berry and Lenny Moore and still hang 30 points on our D.

Multiple shitkickings are incoming for this group.

Niners, Seahawks, Rams, Jags, Giants...all are gonna be epic level beatdowns.

Only thing that saves them the other games is other teams injuries and/or lack of a real QB.

Get ready for 15-20+ throws force fed to Pickens, many of which will be thrown into double or even triple coverage.

Multiple Dak picks this weekend. Dodger will be happy.

Carlie Irsay is acting like a real owner. IMO, she is not a meddler. She is holding people accountable for their decisions after a decent number of years and rope.

I think it was an interview Troy did with Mike Fisher recently in which Troy said he wouldn't name names, but he saw the worst performance from an NFL WR in Dallas the week prior.

I think it is safe to say that performance came from Pickens. You also read and heard about Pickens needing to block.

Jerry does Schotty no favors when his HC is trying to get the WR to block in the running game and the owner says throw him the ball more.

As I wrote before, there is a reason why Mike Tomlin had enough of Pickens.

Nobody could cover the dude last yr and he had an all world season.

This year he's barely part of game plans and Prescott hardly looks at him.

I don't give a fuck what the obviously incomeptent boob HC says publicly about Pickens. The same HC is getting laughed at in the media now because he's started throwing darts at players to minimize how awful his coaching has been. It's pathetic.

And Mike Tomlin, another coach that I really don't care what his opinions are. Take away one fluke Super Bowl win (2008 I think, vs mediocre Cards team courtesy of the refs) and the dude was basically Jason Garrett. Like McCarthy, he last won big eons ago and hasn't won jackshit since.

It is not about only catching footballs. Alvin Harper did not only catch footballs. Irvin did not only catch footballs.

Do you want to win the SUPER BOWL or do you just want to win games? Pick one.

The WRs need to block and your teammates need to feel as if you got their back.

Neither Bill Parcells nor Jimmy would have Pickens on this team. Guaranteed.

It's a pattern with Pickens. Or is Mike Tomlin incompetent too?

Mike Tomlin's last postseason win was..........

As for Pickens, when I hear a coach talk about "we need WR's that can block first" I think back to the glory days of that fucking idiot Chan Gailey, who put stonehanded joruneymen types on the field that couldnt run routes or catch a damn cold consistently because "they could block"

You need WR's that get open and catch the fucking football. That's their primary jobs. It's great if WR's also help spring a guy here and there, but you need guys that get open, make plays, make YAC and help score TDs. It's a passing league. Pickens got singled out because of one game where plenty of other guys lacked emotion or effort. There's also plenty of examples where he was doing work downfield blocking for people.
