2026 NFL Weak Draft Tracker

You'd think CB would definitely be one of the three picks today and there's still several the Cowboys had shown interest in available. Malik Muhammad Texas, Will Lee from Tex A&M, Devin Moore Florida and Charles Demmings Stephen F Austin were a few of them.
Some other positions and players we liked incl DL Darrell Jackson FSU, Nick Barrett S Carolina, Rene Konga Louisville, Kaleb Proctor SE Louisiana. RB Emmett Johnson Nebraska, TE Michael Trigg Baylor, TE Dallen Bentley Utah. Would suspect they'll take an OL with one of our remaining 4 picks somewhere too (we have three 4ths and one 7th barring any trades)
LSU QB Garrett Nussmeier is also still available. Yesterday for a brief time Asst coach Steve Shimko was spotted in the warroom (this was fairly early 3rd rd) and the warroom began celebrating something, the draft show guys were speculating the Cowboys must be getting ready to take a QB but then never did obviously. I'd def pull the trigger on him with one of these 4th rd picks. Prescott is under contract through 2028 but the final yr of that deal shows a nearly 90 million cap charge, but he has no guaranteed money that yr either. Have to start developing someone and Milton showed he aint it.

I don't think this was Jerry that made this decision.
I think everyone else basically took the keys away for the car.
But good for them, this hoping to catch lightning in a bottle with the injured guys has rarely worked and more often than not bit us in the ass.
