When I initially read this today I thought it was sarcasm or something, but reading further it's actually legit. Seems McVay is genuinely pissed about this. Go read comments by the reporters and those that saw the PC.

It was all over the local news here in LA this morning. He was clearly pissed!

We put the hurt on Pissburg!

Just dumb of Pissburgh.

There's all sorts of internet BS conspiracy theories that somehow "Dallas fucked the Stealers on purpose" (either to embarrass them in their city or because of McCarthy) but there's no way in hell the Cowboys would HELP the Eagles to screw with a team in another conference.

If the Stealers wanted to ensure they got their guy, they could have called Dallas and made the same deal we did with Miami for Downs.

For those wondering about a potential move up tonight, while Spawn didn't completely rule it out he kinda intimated they liked having those 5 picks between 92-152. But some ideas where we could possibly get to with the picks we have:

Trade up from 92:

92 (132pts) + 137 (37.5pts) = pick 84/85
92 (132pts) + 112 (70pts) = pick 77/78

Trade up with two 4ths to get an extra 3rd:

112 (70pts) + 114 (66pts) = pick 91/92 (potentially giving us back to back choices at end of 3rd rd)

Potential highest move up from 92:

92 (132) + 112 (70pts) +114 (66pts) = pick 65 which is the 1st pick of 3rd rd or potentially last pick of 2nd rd.

Spawn said trading 3 for 1 or 4 for 1 was something they probably wouldnt try to do.

Potentially flipping a current veteran or two could net us a pick/s or higher trade up opportunity as well (Bass, maybe Turpin but then they'd need to replace him)

Yep they just assumed too much and left too much to chance.

Several of the reporters noted teams normally wait until they get informed that a pick is in (they are also told who that player is, so the teams find out before everyone else what player is chosen) so this scenario dosnt happen.

Stealers just fucked up.

Great player and certainly seems like an exceptional kid (which Saban alluded to)

Really quality family he appears to have who did great jobs as parents. His sister is in med school too. Obviously a brother in the NFL with him.

We got a little lucky but absolutely hit a homerun with this pick.
