That's a shit ton of money for Njigba. Will be interesting to see how this impacts Pickens deal.
if you think the player is really good, this is exactly what you're supposed to do

get ahead of the contract. by the time the new salary kicks in, he will probably be the 3rd or 4th highest paid player at his position. and by then, the salary cap would've increased for every team by another $40-50 million

Yeah, you are so right. The infamous wait until the 11th hour Jerry Jones contract negotiating has literally cost the team millions in wasted contract money.

Contract money that could have easily been saved IF he had just identified his good/elite player and paid him ahead of time.

Now these last minute market setting type deals are like Jerry's calling card. It's as if he's proud of it! Publicity, regardless if positive or negative. That's Jerry. And that's how severe his narcissism runs but to the detriment of this team.
