This Jordyn Tyson stuff has to be something the FO planted on them to go out and nuke the public with to get teams around them to think it's really a possibility we'd take him. Whether it's to get someone ahead of us to make sure they pick him or someone behind us to maybe trade up and get him.

It just makes zero sense whatsoever for them to have any interest in using an early pick on a WR that would be at best 3rd on the depth chart. If Pickens is truly part of the longterm plans they need a WR like we need a Zoner for a Mod.

Further, if they decided to use a 1st on a WR then it makes getting anything of real value for Pickens far less likely. Teams will know we are dumping him and will just low ball any offer or just wait us out to remove the franchise tag. If they were going to go this route they should have traded him before now or at the latest tomorrow/early Thursday.

Good listen with Mosher and John Owning on some of the Edge guys we could consider at 20. They spend the time on Malachi Lawrence, Kelvin Faulk and Akheem Mesidor.

I'm really good with the DC making this pick. Let him have his guy....a guy he interviewed and found something he liked. I know it's not the right way to do business, but Jerry's way of evaluating talent sucks so I'd rather defer to the DC.

Definitely not defending the drunken stooge, but they kind of did recently let Quinn and Zimmer pick guys they wanted. Couple of them worked, some didnt.

Pretty much by all accounts Jones and McClay are giving Parker and the defensive staff huge input on who they will go get this weekend, and we've already seen some of that with the DB's we added in free agency. They didnt necessarily mesh with what McClay had typically favored in the past in terms of traits/arm length etc etc and we signed them anyway.
