I'm still trying to process what we watched Sunday night. Dak not folding when the pressure was on. George Pickens being the alpha he's always thought he was. Javonte Williams continuing to make many (myself included) eat our words. A game where we didn't really need Brandon Aubrey until overtime.
I mean we know exactly what we saw from the defense. They're crap, and it will take a giant ass scoop shovel to make a dent in that pile.
This week is the Jets. Not as good as defense as the Packers. If they can get Breece Hall going like they did Week 1 against Pittsburgh Fields can have possible openings both with his legs and looking downfield for Garrett Wilson. They'll need it too. Dallas can score on this Jets team. Of course, they could have scored against the Bears and look what happened.
Shaping up to be another high scoring affair. I'm feeling optimistic, which is asking for trouble, I know. As I grab a helmet to protect myself from potential falling hopes, let's call it 37-30 Dallas. Here goes nothing...

If not for this poor defense we might have a shot at getting to the playoffs. It would be too much to think our offense will be able to score enough points week in and out to cover our poor defense. I know we don’t have the best talent but we could play better with proper coaching and scheme. Eberflus is a disaster.

Cowboys at Jets always brings this to mind...

...If only our current D had a fraction of the same mindset.

We actually didnt play well that day. We had a ton of turnovers and a game that probably should have been 45-0 ended up much closer than it should have been. I think Troy threw three picks and we had several lost fumbles. The three picks in that game was HALF of his total for the season. (He had a sensational yr in 1993. He had 2 picks in the Buffalo game and the 3 in this game. All his other starts combined he had 1)

Nice summary.
Yeah, Fields legs scare me as well as Breece Hall and Garrett Wilson.
We've been torched by the mobility of Hurts but also by the not so mobile Wilson and Caleb Williams.
Jordan Love too for that matter. So it doesn't matter if you're doing it from the pocket or on the move, all the opposing QBs seem to have found success regardless of their skillset.
Yeah, it sucks to have to root for shootout wins but that's where we're at.
Here's to Prescott and Schott continuing their rhythm together.

Dak is just..... different this year.
It's early, but his mechanics and footwork do look improved (for maybe the first time ever really).

It didn't get a lot of positive pub, but it's looking like Ken Dorsey (hired as QB coach) was another great decision by Schotty. This offensive staff overall is first rate.
