Came across this, didn't know where else to share it.

Thats from either 1997 or 2000, he's talking to Jack Reilly who was QB coach in 97 and then OC in 2000. He wasn't on the Cha Gailey staff in 98 or 99. I think its most likely 97 (Switzer's last yr)

It's definitely '97 because one of the linemen that he is chewing out is John Flannery. Which game? If I had to guess it would be the Oilers game on Thanksgiving.

I have no idea what the purpose of the single sleeve even is. It looks stupid as hell to me.
I don't get it either. It's just a stupid distraction. One of the few things Dak had going for him - maturity and lack of bullshit drama - is out the window now.

Hopefully his response was tongue in cheek, I think it probably was but didnt hear the comments for myself.

He's been running 3rd team at TE a lot this offseason according to several reporters. Maybe they did it to kind of light the fire under him again as last yr was not all that good for him (receiving or blocking)
It's amazing what can happen when players buy in.

Holy shit

Freak Alert As Cowboys Edge Rusher Hits Saquon-Level Speed After Knee Surgery

Sam Williams Sr. tore his ACL and partially tore his MCL last July 28 — just days into Dallas Cowboys training camp. Fast-forward less than a year, and he just posted the second-fastest speed on the team during mandatory minicamp: 21.4 miles per hour.

Only CeeDee Lamb ran faster (21.9 mph), and he’s, you know… built to run fast. Williams? He’s 260 pounds.

That, Cowboys Nation, a different galaxy of athleticism.

To put it into context, Philadelphia Eagles breakaway superstar Saquon Barkley’s fifth-fastest carry all season in 2024 was 21.9 mph.

Barkley is 230 pounds. Williams is 30 pounds heavier — and coming off knee surgery.

And yet somehow, he’s still maybe the third or fourth most dangerous pass rusher on this Cowboys team.

Micah Parsons is the best edge rusher in football. Donovan Ezeiruaku, the most prolific pass rusher in college last year (17.5 sacks), is waiting to explode. Dante Fowler Jr. just notched 10.5 sacks in Washington.

And then there’s Sam Williams - who is a work in progress in terms of his off-field maturity, no doubt - with the kind of recovery, raw speed, and way-up-there ceiling that makes you wonder what’s coming next.

Forget "coming back healthy." He’s coming back blazing.

For Dallas, this isn’t just a good sign — it’s a freakishly positive potential game-changer.
