Questions of the day to ponder:

1) Why does the Cowboys website keep referring to these draft pick calls as "secret audio". It obviously isn't a secret.

2) Why does who ever is announcing the draft pick for the league say for EVERY pick "with the x pick in the 2014 draft". Its the 2014 draft all weekend, do they think we don't know that?

We didn't trade down because we couldn't get fair value, so we turn around and overpay to move up...

Teh J just doesn't really understand how the draft works.

So we don't get fair value but we take what CLE was offering 26+83 and keep our 47+78

or...

Like JJ we pick at 16 and trade our 47+78 for 34...

Would you rather have 26+47+78+83 in a deep draft or 16+34???

4 picks of first 83 would have been nice but am not unhappy at all with the two guys we got.

Def wouldn't have gotten Martin or anyone like him at 26 or later and we could have had Lawrence at 26, but getting him at 34 AND getting Martin was better value.

Broaddus for day three:

IRVING, Texas -- Scout’s Eye takes a look at five players to watch on Day 3 of the NFL draft:

Telvin Smith Florida State LB 6-3 218 4.49
•Don’t let the weight fool you, this guy plays much better than his size. Can be a physical player when it comes to taking on blocks, shedding and making in the play. In the typical style of the Florida State players on defense, he can really run. Very hard to go wide on him because of the speed he has. Will need some work in coverage aspects but has tools to work with. See as a WILL linebacker in this scheme.

Jeoffrey Pagen Alabama DL 6-3 310 4.82
•Really like this guy as a potential three technique despite his size. When this guy is on his game, can be very hard to deal with. Did a very nice job of matching the power of Greg Robinson of Auburn when they got hooked up. Showed the ability to play with a quick arm over move to help him with his pass rush. Was a snap or two where he as a tick late off the ball but would not say that is a huge problem. Hard to block on the move.

Bashaud Breeland Clemson CB 5-11 197 4.61
•Played as a press man corner back at Clemson but might be a better fit as a safety. Very good with his hands on the jam. Will not give the receiver much space. Shows the ability to turn and run with his man. Would like to see him get his head around quicker to locate the ball on the fade. Like his ability to project inside and play with range to help there.

Devin Street Pittsburgh WR 6-2 198 4.55
•Physically reminds me of Andre Holmes of the Raiders when you study him on tape. Long, rangy build with the ability to make plays. Smooth route runner. Will see him line up in the slot at times which is surprising because I didn’t see the initial quickness for that. Is a long strider that builds speed as he goes. Will catch the ball on all levels and hands appear to be natural.

Kevin Pierre-Lewis Boston College LB 6-0 232 4.51
•Shows a real ease of movement. Explosive quickness. Can work through the trash with the best of them. Flow, strike and tackle. Can really find the ball. Is a blur when he plays. Will attack the ball. Can really run, along with Ryan Shazier might be the guy on film that moves the fastest when you study them. Huge fan of this guy.

Don't understand this team sometimes. This guy seems like a 6th or 7th rd pick type
