I think it was boozestile who pointed out at CZ that maybe there arnt as many similarities between the Dallas and Seattle defensive scheme as some wanted to believe. If there were, I don't see why he'd need so much time to prepare for whatever his responsibilities are here vs what he had in Seattle.

I was too. The run game got better as the OL understood the scheme more, but it wasn't chewing up yards play after play like this years team was. They also showed the short yardage improvement the other night during the Saints game. Its much better now than it has been.

Am assuming that Broaddus is right and Hitchens starts at strong OLB. Wilbur continues as backup strong OLB and sometimes nickel DE. Smith is then the backup at weak OLB and Toomer is still in limbo. Patmon will be active as 4th CB

Kinda interesting to see the praise (well deserved so far) for Linehan, not just here but basically every Cowboy forum. The hire was questioned and complained about by the vast majority, and many said it was crazy to hire Linehan because he was pass happy and wouldn't run the ball enough...

Hard to believe a game which had Kershaw and Wainwright starting ended up 10-9 and Kershaw would blow a 6-2 lead late. Really bizarre with Kershaw, he was just mowing down Cards with ease and then all of the sudden he got pasted.

Would you not agree the run game has been far more effective this year though? There were still times (especially the first 10 games or so) where we didn't consistently gain yards last year. This year has been far more consistent in the number of "quality" run plays IMO. And please don't try to...
