Gosselin: Jones flies 'flag of fantasy' rather than dare say Cowboys must rebuiild

My thought is its a reflection on the coaching staff. They don't teach fundamentals that well and with the CBA the way it is regarding contact in practice and training camp, it makes it worse.

    2016 NFL Draft Thread...

Didn't realize Lynch wasn't a Senior. Saw some blurbs from postgame that says he is going to discuss draft options and decide whether to enter the draft.

    2016 NFL Draft Thread...

I haven't watched the game yet but the boxscore shows Lynch really struggled today. I don't think Auburn is a good team, but they do have better talent defensively than Air Force does though. I really think now more than ever its hard to see much from these bowl games because too many times one...

    2016 NFL Draft Thread...

It depends on who it is. TN might not, they think they have a franchise QB. Everybody knows they arnt going to take one, that decreases trade value. It also behooves them to move down a few spots and pick up whatever they can if they fill like the player they really like will still be there.

Gosselin: Jones flies 'flag of fantasy' rather than dare say Cowboys must rebuiild

I actually didn't forget him, he was 2010 I think. He sux as a starter but if he were a backup and special team guys only, he would be fine. Maybe as CMD (and myself) have lobbied for a couple years, his best role might be as a nickel/dime LB where he doesn't have to cover much ground...

    2016 NFL Draft Thread...

I agree they don't appear to be Elway or Aikman types, but beyond them there are few and far between "cant miss" types, doesn't mean they cant be quality players or even high level franchise caliber QB's. You have to trust the scouts to do their job, if they firmly believe one or both is a big...

Gosselin: Jones flies 'flag of fantasy' rather than dare say Cowboys must rebuiild

That Dan Bailey guy is pretty good. Cole Beasley is a nice slot WR. Chris Jones has turned into a quality punter. Lance Dunbar is cursed with injury but I think he showed he was a nice player. Lael Collins was UDFA

Gosselin: Jones flies 'flag of fantasy' rather than dare say Cowboys must rebuiild

I don't see how its a myth CMD. There were a lot of good players drafted there from 2011 through last year. Bruce Carter was an up and down player but did have two very good seasons. Murray was an all pro player. They were outbid substantially for both guys. Just because they arnt here anymore...

Cowboys sign 3 to active roster

The Cowboys decided to fill the three roster spots with a pair of their own practice squad receivers – Vince Mayle and Rodney Smith. The Cowboys also signed cornerback Josh Thomas, a 2011 fifth-round pick of the team who has been with seven teams in the last four years.

The only thing that really needs to be rebuilt is the coaching staff, starting with the HC

Jones says QB position a "high priority" in the offseason.

FWIW Broaddus has said several times this still haunts Jones to this day and that he firmly expects it to have an impact on our draft decision in April.

As Eagles make change, Cowboys stay on course, which should concern fans

I don't think the GM deserves much blame for the players on the field. There are good enough players on the field, maybe not good enough to make a real super bowl run this yr but with this division the way it is there was no excuse whatsoever for 4-12/5-11. He absolutely should be blaming the...

    2016 NFL Draft Thread...

Define "too much" Because honestly if the scouts firmly believe one of those guys (or both) is a franchise QB, then trading up to ensure you get one is smart.

    2016 NFL Draft Thread...

I am starting to be of the opinion that if we end up drafting somewhere between 3-5 and cant get a QB, that trading down a few spots is the smarter way to go. I like Bosa and he is certainly a quality talent, but Lawrence is really coming on at LDE, we have Gregory and might keep Hardy. I don't...

If they were convinced one of them is a franchise QB, trading up would be smart though to ensure we get one. Especially if they favor one over the other and can be in a position to choose.

    Eagles fire Chip Kelly

Almost nobody agrees with you that covers the league, but you are certainly entitled to your opinion. A lot of the guys he got rid of were pretty productive players there and actually DID seem to fit what he was doing, and he got rid of them anyway.

    Injury update

Saw one post at CZ that says they are going to do surgery on Dez again. Probably for the best, get it done quick and get a good full length rehab started, then have him 100% for training camp next year.

Jones says QB position a "high priority" in the offseason.

Johnny Knucklehead does absolutely zilch for this team and he definitely isn't the kind of backup who gives you any confidence whatsoever if Romo goes down. This team has fucked around with the QB position enough. Go sign a decent middle of the road vet to backup Romo and draft somebody early...

Jones says QB position a "high priority" in the offseason.

Broaddus said Cowboy scouts were also at Cals bowl game yesterday watching him. Not sure I'd sign a free agent like Osweiler. He's going to command a pretty good contract and with that its almost a must then that he plays, and we know he isn't going to play ahead of Romo if he is healthy.

    Eagles fire Chip Kelly

I give Lurie props. At least he saw what a train wreck Kelly was and got rid of him. Unlike the person who owns our team.
