Jerry Jones: Cowboys won't draft QB with No. 4 overall pick

That very well could be, and I've said while I strongly support taking a QB at 4, if they don't believe there's anything special about one (or more) who might be available, then its understandable to pass. But after Jones crowed so loudly about how much they thought of Manziel, I cant imagine...

Jerry Jones: Cowboys won't draft QB with No. 4 overall pick

I could see Jerruh being stupid about this and pushing back on Stevie, Garrett and scouts who might push for a QB though. Jerruh has no plan and never has. He manages and makes decisions on a whim. Just like he had to be talked out of that idiot Manziel two years ago, he might have to be talked...

Jerry Jones: Cowboys won't draft QB with No. 4 overall pick

Doesnt explain why he wanted Manziel so bad then two years ago. Did he believe the team was bad and had no chance to make the playoffs then?

Jerry Jones: Cowboys won't draft QB with No. 4 overall pick

Yep, Gil is pretty senile at this point. I like reading his stuff on nfl.com for the draft but almost every time I hear him interviewed he is way out there.

Broaddus tidbit on free ageny: Adrian Clayborn

My thought is probably the Mincey replacement if we sign him. Rotation guy with starting experience.

Broaddus tidbit on free ageny: Adrian Clayborn

I remember thinking we might go after him last year before he signed with Atlanta, seemed like a good fit for our defense but had always struggled to stay healthy. 3 seasons out of 5 played all 16 games, other two missed most of the season. Decent player when healthy.

    Hypothetical trade down discussion

I think Ragland showed at the combine he is a lot more athletic and rangy than people gave him credit for. I believe at the Senior Bowl they even had him line up at OLB some to see him in coverage more. If we avoid RB early its because we've either signed a veteran to split time with McF or...

Stephen Jones: Cowboys won't change 'basic philosophy' despite Gregory, Hardy fiascos

We actually traded for Haley, but what Jones needs to realize that without a really strong HC in place, these "problem" players become more of a "problem" Jimmy could handle these types. So could Parcells. But these other coaches we've had don't have the will or the respect to keep these kinds...

Your top 3 and how strongly it's your top 3

Yeah I've seen some of his games, FSU is on TV a lot here in Atlanta. I am not saying he is a terrible prospect or a lousy player. I just don't really see a true difference maker. He is flexible and you can play him in a number of places (kinda like Jones) so that's a plus, and he isn't shy to...

If the Cowboys want to win now, they should take Ezekiel Elliott at No. 4

McFadden was better than almost anyone expected last year, no question. But McFadden will be 29 before the season starts and has an injury plagued career. Expecting that he will duplicate last years results is probably wishful thinking. McFadden is a quality player, but Elliott has a chance...

On the books, yep. But on the field and playing at a high level? Not so sure.

Your top 3 and how strongly it's your top 3

Jones can mouth off all he wants about Romo playing 4-5 yrs, but the fact of the matter is Romo's body may not (and in my opinion, almost assuredly not) allow him to. The guy's had multiple back procedures and now has a serious collarbone issue. He's never been much of a workout guy to begin...
