JJT: 10 reasons Dallas' defense has improved in 2014

He's definitely been a difference maker this season. Welcome to the DCU by the way!

    Favorite Play: Offense/Defense

There's no evidence to support that. And it conveniently forgets that Detroit had every opportunity after that to win the game, and to stop Dallas' offense. It's just as likely they would have suffered a sack/fumble or thrown a pick six, as it is they would have gone on to score. It sucks that...

    Favorite Play: Offense/Defense

And amazingly paralyzed Detroit the rest of the way, they were unable to stop us or generate a single point even after we fumbled the ball back to them on their last drive, giving them a free first down. Also it seemed to force their punter into shanking a 10 yard one for us. You're a...

    Favorite Play: Offense/Defense

Both plays for me, come from last week. Offense: The first big pass play Romo to Dez started the fire that lifted Dallas to the win Defense: DLaw doing the strip sack on Stafford on 4th down to end the game and get his redemption for his own earlier fumble that kept Detroit alive.

The wedge play is what they had tried and failed with twice before. Starr then told Vince he could just lunge himself, into the end zone, off the wedge play. Vince then ok'd that. Vince and Starr are the only ones who knew Starr was going to sneak it.

Discussion- If Dallas wins Sunday at Green Bay

If you want to rank wins, this last one vs. Detroit was huge. I rank it above SB 30 because that one was pretty much a given - that team would have beaten that Pissburg team 10 out of 10 times in their sleep. And for most of that game, they were in their sleep. Switzer's presence put a bad taste...

Discussion- If Dallas wins Sunday at Green Bay

Which, we find out later from Emmitt, Troy and Michael, that actually the players decided to go back to doing it Jimmy's way that year. Switzer "coaching" the Cowboys was the most ill feeling I ever had about this team. Just sickening. I rank this last win over Detroit above SB 30.

JJT: 10 reasons Dallas' defense has improved in 2014

Who ate our lunch at times. Those times being when we had poor 3rd down conversion rate. The "improvement" in this defense statistically is largely the product of alot fewer plays, alot less exposure. Due to the offense's 3rd down conversion rate. That's also what helped the injury bug. Not...

Discussion- If Dallas wins Sunday at Green Bay

He's been capable of it, for sure. But for whatever reason, he's matured. He takes it more seriously now. No more yuk-yuk and pallying around. No more super bonehead decisions. In the AP writeup of the Detroit win, Tony cites the Minnesota playoff game in 2009 as how the old Tony just gave...

That's reason number ONE and the very reason for the rest of his reasons.

But.... I've never seen him say anything like, any of this. He keeps talking about how he's improved himself. And he has, it's indisputable. People who want to credit everything else except Tony himself, merely wish to continue their defend Tony narrative of blaming all but, Tony. And that...
