Why do you trust these egghead sports writers? Most of them don't know shit from Shineola and can't really fucking write for clarity anyhow.

I had the advantage of actually reading the article. I also do that before I post it as a bolster for my own argument.

Why would it ever.... fucking.... happen? You cut a guy early, you don't even want him suited up for the last game, then you sign him to the PS?

Do you GET now that he doesn't count for what we're talking about? I don't care if Broderick Crawford wrote it. You googled it because you are reaching, grasping at straws. It's way too much effort for something that if you would just engage your brain on, you wouldn't have any argument.

Just to clear the mud: I am talking about a early cut player, who did NOT make the 75 man roster. Who then is re-signed by the same team that cut him, for the first PS roster. I maintain it has never happened because there's not one logical reason why it would happen.

No need to get nasty, smegma head. You don't even fucking get what we're arguing, or you wouldn't STILL be arguing the fucking Tennessee/Indianapolis guy!

That means he does NOT fit the meter we are arguing. Period. He was not a early cut, he SURVIVED the cut down to 75 but not the 53.

I hope you asked him the right thing, because not too sure you understand the meter yet. :razz

Fair point. They can't sign a ineligible player. Good thinking.

If he was on the fucking roster for the last preseason game, he is NOT a "early cut" as we are talking about. You're working way to hard reaching for something that isn't there.

Because if you post the BIG list of ALL cuts, we would have to weed through that to find the eligible guys.

I can see a scenario where this COULD happen. Let's say you cut Vaughan today, and another rookie QB. Your intent is to re-sign Vaughan, but somebody scooped him up so you settle for the other rookie QB you also cut, who cleared waivers. Just to have a thrower on the PS. Only Dallas would be...

Right that would be cool to see but please, when posting the list exclude veterans and others who aren't PS eligible.

They meant he played for Tennessee in their fourth game, and therefore was not a early cut. Then Indy grabbed him off waivers.

From your link: He wasn't cut early. He played the fourth game.

That doesn't specify if the cut was getting them down to 75, or 53. If you do the above - which would be great - please limit it to players eligible for the PS.

Only the eligible ones could. None of the veterans in that list, can.

Rignt, that happens and it's not that uncommon.
  19. Doomsday

    Post your first cut predictions

Right. So you cut a guy today - don't want him even on the roster for the final preseason game - then for some reason re-sign him for the PS after he clears waivers? I'm not trying to be argumentative, just trying to wrap my head around why anyone would possibly do that. There's no advantage at...
