If you're playing QB in the NFL you're pretty good at it. If you're a STARTING QB in the NFL you're damn good at it. If you're starting year after year you're a franchise guy.

If you understand what a franchise guy is. It's a guy you have that you keep, you don't take calls on. That you're happy with. There's at least 20 of those playing QB in the league, year in and year out. There's maybe four or five elite guys, and 7 or 8 below average guys. The jobbers.

The two terms are not the same and not interchangeable. There are only four or five elite quarterbacks in the league. Then you have a couple dozen franchise guys, and the rest are below average.
