    Broaddus on Matt Johnson

LOL Also, I thought that was gonna be the number of practices he made in eight months. :awkward

Who will be the next to go?

Same here. In our defense, I think the talent was there. He was/is just lazy and not very driven.

Timeline of Jerrys' unwillingness to appropriately fix his OL over the last 5 years

I'm thinking Old Man Houck had just lost it. I know Jerry relies on him heavily, probably more than anyone for OL advice. Either he thought the guys he had were better than they were or he couldn't recognize good young players anymore, or both.

    G. Sensabaugh CUT !!!

Watching live games it was the same. Every week they'd talk about how he was the star of their secondary, then he'd never do a thing.

Who will be the next to go?

LOLz. Who's more overrated every year than this guy? The first of those to go should be Connor. Straight can't play.

2013 Cap Set at just under 124 mils

It's funny how once FA and the draft process starts up, people focus on the players and forget about coaching. You don't get rid of all these top shelf players (Romo, Ware, Witten) until you give them one more chance with a real coach who knows what he's doing. One more underachieving year...

    2013 NFL Draft Thread

Roy was a badass for a few years, though. 100% badass his rookie year. One thing I noticed watching one of those old 2008 Hard Knocks fiascos... Remember when they practiced against the Broncos before that preseason game and it was supposed to be no hitting? But their guys were hitting too...

How does that make sense? 1. Nnamdi sucks. 2. No one realizes that more than Andy Reid.

49ers deal Alex Smith to Chiefs done

He was leading the entire NFL in QB rating several weeks into the season this year. And how did he come up that small in the NFC Champ game? Lost by a FG in overtime to the eventual SB champs, had 2 TDs and no INTs. And Harbaugh gave up on him because Kapernick had something special. It's...

49ers deal Alex Smith to Chiefs done

He was playing really well this year before he got hurt, though. Not saying he's some star, but he doesn't have to be. The Chiefs are just trying to put a decent team out there. The way Reid knew McFlabb was finished and that Kolb sucked, I'd say he has a pretty good handle on QBs who can...

    2013 NFL Draft Thread

Eh, I don't think they were ever drafting a QB #1 anyway. No one worthy this year. Saw that Rob Rang, who I think is pretty good, has us taking Kawann Short. Is he that good? Makes me nervous anytime I see effort problems in a guy's draft profile, at least for a pick this high.

49ers deal Alex Smith to Chiefs done

Matt Cassel all over again? Though Smith is probably a better player. He'll at least be competent.

    Broaddus Combine wrap up

Yeah, I thought Elam looked good in the drills yesterday. Anyway, thought I'd throw in since he seems to be wired in, or at least thinking like the current braintrust, that Stretch Smith said Floyd was our 3-technique. Thought he was easily the best player for that position. Of course he...

Vacarro with a 4.63? Ouch. That's a whole tenth slower than Roy Williams. Never saw why the guy is so loved. Maybe he'll be great, but he never stood out when I watched UT.

PFT: Jerry Jones: Rob Ryan’s defense is “too much scheme”

The defense early in the year was pretty good. It bailed out the O in couple of games when they couldn't get out of their own way.
