DeMarcus Lawrence: Time for me to step up

We changed up how they play, changed their assignments. The Gimp wants to rush the QB, fancies himself a meanie and wants to get some sacks. The former Seahawks' DC wants to be Mr. Fancy Pants, therefore the defense is so complicated now, they have to freeze and think way too much instead of...

DeMarcus Lawrence: Time for me to step up

Plus, the o-line looks and performs a whole lot better when defenses are scared Dak might take off with it. Removing that possibility from our offense means d-lines can just tee off, means they're not scared to blitz and run stunts and loops, means DEs aren't scared to crash in on the obligatory...

DeMarcus Lawrence: Time for me to step up

Impossible to blame Zeke, he can't hand the ball to himself. He also can't control the fucks constantly running him in the A-gap on 1st and 10, into 8-man boxes. Some of this is attributable to the above.

All us meanies in here picking on the downtrodden fucking multi-millionaire. Fo'shame, fo'shame.

DeMarcus Lawrence: Time for me to step up

HE says he hasn't been "playing like myself." HE says he needs to "step up." If double teams are the problem, why would he blame himself? There's NO good reason for him to be flapping his yap. Just do the fucking job on the field, "testify" and make your fucking statements there.

DeMarcus Lawrence: Time for me to step up

Why is he even opening his dicktrap? If you think it's time to "step up" why not just DO it! Why the need to announce it? His announcing it is what begs the perfectly legitimate questions we're posing. Just fucking DO IT. Step the fuck up if that's what you intend to finally do. Then tell us...

More importantly, it's also flashy! Entertaining. Jerry loves to appeal to the WWE-type, video game-type idiot fandom we have. But the point you're making is valid - we are NOT putting our players in the best situations for them to do well. For me, I'm all for any sound offensive strategy that...

NFL Week 14: Dallas Cowboys vs. Chicago Bears

And which, I'll expand on this because it's a recurring theme and the same problem Romo was saddled with throughout his career. (Even though he was all for it and didn't know how limiting it was for him, longevity-wise). Ginger really does not want to run the ball. He knows there will be howls...

NFL Week 14: Dallas Cowboys vs. Chicago Bears

And most of our 3 and outs start with Zeke up the gut on 1st and 10, into the teeth of the 8-man box. Gotta run there, can't do play-action there or ever. Can't do anything they're not expecting, wouldn't be fair.

We're actually 13th rank, in that category. EDIT: My mistake - we're 13th in ToP (Time of Possession.) According to the linked chart.

Rebuild it definitely needs, "lengthy" is relative.

Add to this the far more obvious difference, we don't even hustle! We play in slo-mo especially on D. This usually comes from some hotshot would-be coordinator coach over-complicating it so that players have to think way too much. But in our case I think it's a combination of that and just slacking.

Been pretty solid when not battling injury, since he got to SF. Really shined today though.
