    The 2019 Cowboys Off-Season Thread

If he wants a break the bank deal, then I don't blame them for losing interest. We just have too many other guys we have to get signed long term to significant deals.

I would think he'd be preferring top dollars and a real chance to be the every down back somewhere, he aint getting either of those here.

Whatever credibility he would have had with it, kinda went out the door with his smoke a doob and quit the NFL announcement on IG.

Gil Brandt becomes Cowboys' 17th Hall of Famer

I don't have any vendetta against Brandt. He deserves oodles of props for what he did to build our great franchise, just like Landry. I just don't have a problem also noting the guy sucked ass the latter part of his career, and was a big reason the team collapsed. Gil was long overdue to be in...

Gil Brandt becomes Cowboys' 17th Hall of Famer

1978: 12 picks, best pick was Todd Christensen and he didn't do anything here. Only player from that drfat that amounted to anything for us was 11th rd pick Dennis Thurman. 1979: 15 picks, with top pick Robert Shaw undone by knee injuries, only Doug Cosbie and Ron Springs really panned out of...

Gil Brandt becomes Cowboys' 17th Hall of Famer

LOL asshat, no I'm not some young Cowboy fan. I started watching the team in 1975. Gil Brandt had nothing whatsoever to do with players Jimmy drafted in 1989. Jimmy made every fucking decision with this team while he was here. Landry, Brandt and Schramm had absolutely nothing to do with Jimmy...

Zoners "DLaw or Earl?????" Yeah, dominant pass rusher in his 20s, entering prime of his career or 30+ safety coming off two bad leg injuries. Yeah, lets really contemplate that Fucking idiots.

Yep. He had those red flags coming out, and sounds like the new coaching staff there already has made up their mind about him without seeing a single live practice.

I think your understanding is wrong then. Heath's going to the bench if we get an upgrade at safety.

Gil Brandt becomes Cowboys' 17th Hall of Famer

Jeffcoast. good player and great leader for long time. Certainly was one of Brandt's better picks from 78 on. Of course we took him instead of Dan Marino, and rode out the rest of the 80's with rag arm Danny White, flub Hogeboom and flub Pelluer.

    Earl Thomas thread

Eric Berry money for a guy who doesn't even remotely play like Eric Berry. Collins is 100% useless in space and coverage, we already have plenty of those types.

    Earl Thomas thread

RW gets a bit of a bum rap on coverage sometimes because of the 2nd half of his career, but when he first came into the league his coverage was not bad. Go back and find that clip of him covering Jimmy Smith man to man 30-40 yds downfield and picking off that pass in man coverage for example...

Gil Brandt becomes Cowboys' 17th Hall of Famer

He didn't have a hard on for Steve Walsh. He tells everyone exactly why he picked Walsh, because the first thing he learned after studying the NFL was the importance of having a great QB. There was no salary cap then, so he was getting a chance on a talent-less roster to have two guys viewed as...

Gil Brandt becomes Cowboys' 17th Hall of Famer

They didn't even sign Tuinei to be an OL, in college he was a DL and when he first signed as a UDFA here he was a DL. Newton was a washout from the Redskins and the USFL and Gogan was also a nobody. They became good players because of Jimmy Johnson and Tony Wise (the OL coach, who was...
