Honestly, it's a solid overall draft. Stuck to big school guys in the 7th. I think our stupidity was just overwhelming even if it was just two incidents. You don't give up a 3rd in a draft like this and that 4th rounder was as bad a pick as I can remember. Gardner was one of our better picks...

the Texas Tech linebacker was a wasted pick. Dixon is every Safety we already have and Mitchell is criminally slow for a CB. This draft had plenty of headscratchers. Bishop will get a real chance due to the lack of talented DT's on this team. Whoever signed off on these 2 LB's should be fired.

the misses in the 4th and 5th stick out the most to me. Steven McGee, Brandon Williams, Akwasi Owusu-Ansah, Josh Thomas, Danny Coale, Matt Johnson, etc., many of them never played a meaningful down for us.

Oh they definitely wanted and tried to trade down. They did not get enough value to pass up the value they saw in Martin. In year's past, Jerry would have traded down anyway. Look, I'm the last person to give the Jones any credit for being smart but they were yesterday. Not so much today though.
