Kiper Weighs In On Potential Tackle Pick

He could. Or some team is going to be grab him high based on his potential. If it's the Cowboys at #9, I'll snap. I'd much rather see them trade down, draft Sherrod and get an extra pick.

Kiper Weighs In On Potential Tackle Pick

I agree. I think Sherrod is a more solid prospect.

Is There Room For 2 Big Tackle Contracts?

In Bob Sturm's blog of January 18th, 2011, he posted the following in evaluating Doug Free's season... "2010: Free allowed 5 sacks in his first season at Left Tackle - a year that had him facing most of the elite pass rushers in football. He was given a lot of help early in the season, but as...

    A backup? Interesting.

Is There Room For 2 Big Tackle Contracts?

In a season where the Cowboys were beaten-up by the media (and rightfully so) just about every one on the team took a verbal thrashing along the way... A few select generated some positive love by the media and bloggers despite the horrendous season... Doug Free was one of those. I think we're...

Is There Room For 2 Big Tackle Contracts?

The Colts won the SB with Tarik Glenn at LT. Since then these are the guys who have won SB's while manning the LT position: David Diehl Max Starks Jerod Bushrod Chad Clifton I'm seeing a bunch of average to good left tackles who have won super bowls and not much in the way of "elite".

Is There Room For 2 Big Tackle Contracts?

I think SBK likes playing the role of forum "heel". And like pro wrestling, there is a lot that goes on (or in this case typed) strictly for entertainment purposes.

Is There Room For 2 Big Tackle Contracts?

lol He has his moments no doubt. I can see the merit of many of SBK's arguments... Suggs over Newman. Jerreh being a sucky GM. Parcells being a better coach than Tom Landry. Corners being the least important part of the defense. I don't always agree with him, but I can see and appreciate...

He certainly could factor in. I think he has more upside than the other young safeties on the roster, but he has to show something.

I'd go with Ijalana also. Resign Sensabaugh. Sign Huff. With more talent on the defensive line and with a better defensive scheme, the defense's ranking would shoot up a great deal without drafting a safety.

I'd be very pleased with that effort. No safety help, but you can't fix all the problems on this team in one draft.

I have issues with all three, but I'd have to take Eatman's.

The Cowboys' 1991 draft helped bring about a dynasty.

I think many consider the 1991 draft to be one of the worst as far as overall talent went... But as the Cowboys found out there are gems in even a lousy class.

Trading Up Should At Least Be Considered

Actually there's been a rumor floating around about Dallas moving up in a swap with Cleveland to get Peterson.

Cowboys take in workout of mammoth defensive lineman

It's all about technique and being able to get (and stay) low. This kid probably hasn't needed to stay with his technique while competing against college athletes. Obviously the next level will be much, much different where the low-man usually wins. The Cowboys seem to be loaded with...

Can't Part Ways With Roy Now

Roy wasn't going anywhere this off season anyway.

Cowboys take in workout of mammoth defensive lineman

It's all about leverage. I would assume any team viewing this guy as a potential NT, would judge this players ability to play low. In college given his size and level of competition he didn't have to rely on technique to succeed.

    Cowboys still like Gerald Sensabaugh

Ball was by far the worst of the two safeties. I think the defense can do well even if it carries Sensabaugh another season or two, however Ball definitely has to be replaced.
