They have cap issues for next year. Something like $140 million committed for a cap projected to be in the $120 range. Plus Spencer, Lee and Hatcher are free agents and I think Dez is up the year after that

Oh, I'm not. And kudos to the owners for pulling off what they did/continue to do. These guys make billions but get taxpayers to fund or partially fund their stadiums, sell bogus stocks for profit and convince the players that they are about to fold unless they fork over more of their share...
