    The Eagles game is frightening...you know they are going to pull out all the stops to keep us out of the playoffs. One good thing about the way this season could end though...it changes the way we view the team and sends them into the first round of the playoffs on a major high.

    I don't think they overtake the Lakers, but I could see them pass Denver, Portland, and Memphis...somewhere right in the 4-6 seed. The Lakers have another move in them...they have that massive trade exception and although Odom wanted out, I don't think they made that deal without another one...

    That comes into it as well...would he be threatened by a big name like Turner or Sparano? Not the same, but we passed on Capers because Brian Stewart was butt hurt.

    Sparano should be a fairly high sought OL coach at least this offeseason...I know we just assume that every asst coach in the world would want to come here, but there will be other opportunities.

    He's show flashes, but he was a risky pick to begin with. Some teams may have Barkley on the same level as Luck. If they do I know I would not pass on Luck because of Ponder.

    Any reason or you just feel it? Sparano was more closely tied to Parcells than Jones...and Norv still might be butt hurt he was passed over for Wade.

    I do think Minn could take Barkley there. I know they just drafted Ponder, but as someone pointed out elsewhere, with the rookie contracts not so massive, if they think Barkley is the man I would not hesitate.

    That is kind of the point...if he was not worrying abut playcalling, etc, then he could focus on the actual game decisions. I don't see either Norv or Sparano coming here, so Jerry will have to think outside the box.
