    Mark Richt fired from UGA

What do you mean, pep... Those offenses are the only ones that have a chance against Saban. If you go 70s I formation and try to run it up the gut time and again, they outphysical you and you have no chance.

    Mark Richt fired from UGA

Heard a name mentioned was Tom Herman, who would be very interesting. Seems like an excellent young coach. Don't know if he has any connection to the South, but maybe that doesn't matter. If you got him, I think a bunch of Texas fans would be jealous. I do think you old school SEC guys need...

    2015 NFL Week #12: Carolina Panthers (10-0) @ Dallas Cowboys (3-7)

:lol Just came here to post that. Broncs beat NE with a backup QB. Awesome. Eat shit, Jerry.

    Garrett's successor

Really? He seems nothing like Norv to me. But speaking of, Norv is probably who we'd get.

    Garrett's successor

Well that's awesome. That alone makes me feel a little better.

    2016 top 5 QB prospects

In other words, forget the draft and hope some smart vet who already knows the game gets let go for salary cap reasons.

    Garrett's successor

God, this thread reminds me of how frustrating it was a few years ago that one night when those "Gruden in Dallas at dinner with Jerry" rumors turned out to be false. He's not perfect but I'd take him in a heartbeat. He's got the balls to stand up to Jerry but I think the charisma and...

Since we're out of it... who you rooting for to win it all?

Minny -- Let Jerry see what he could have had if he'd pulled the trigger after the third 8-8 like he should have. Arizona -- I like their coach and QB, plus it would upset some people who hate that team. Broncos -- Have some ties to the state and I llke their coaches.

Who to root for - draft style

Ugh, I totally forgot about that. And there really aren't any sure-fire backs are there? Still, if you take a QB high and he's another bust like so many of those are, you really haven't helped anything. And I still don't trust Garrett and Wilson to develop anyone.

Who to root for - draft style

I know we're all doom and gloom and I am too regarding Garrett, obviously. But what about not taking a QB? I'm not sold on any of them anyway. Wouldn't you like to see Leonard Fournette on this team? With him we really could duplicate 2014 as far as running the ball and not depending on...

Who to root for - draft style

Yep, I bet we win a few. The pressure is totally off and, most of all, teams will take us lightly now. Same thing that happened in 2010, which is another reason I think we had some success that stretch -- if you can call 4-3 plus a win over Philly's 3rd team a success.

Is there any way the Cowboys can't fire Garrett at this point?

I think that's a little different, though, because Peyton simple can't move anymore. His is about a physical decline, not being stubborn. I still think Jerry should have hired Holmgren years ago. He wanted the job, and he had the cred to do it and the stones to not treat Tony with kid gloves...

Josh Norman: "Cowboys need to get Dez's 70 million back."

Well that escalated quickly... But I don't think Dez is dumb so much as way too emotional. A 16 isn't that bad as NFL WRs go. Now Claiborne's six or whatever? That was a gigantic red flag.

Is there any way the Cowboys can't fire Garrett at this point?

It's not that at all. Tony definitely wants to win. I just think he believes he knows how to play better than anyone else at this point. Teaching an old dog new tricks, so to speak. And really, he might be right. He's the least of our worries right now.

Josh Norman: "Cowboys need to get Dez's 70 million back."

Yep. But of course it's always going to be that way with Jerry and Garrett. My fear is that Dez's game isn't going to age that well. Doesn't seem like it, but next year will be his seventh year in the league. He never had great speed to begin with, and he won't be able to outleap DBs...

Is there any way the Cowboys can't fire Garrett at this point?

I've always believed that if Romo really thought that much of Garrett, he'd never have let Jerry take Jason's OCing and playcalling away from him. No way Jerry didn't consult with his franchise QB before he did that. But like we were talking about the other day, I don't think Tony wants...
