It was you who said whoever said that is "trolling". So I believe that derr comment applies to your comment. We gambled on Miles Austin in the uncapped year and got hosed. The NFL has to approve all contracts so for them to approve it and then come back a year later and punish us for it is just...

Nate Livings left without a deal last year as well. He went to the Rams who told him "The Cowboys want to pay you WHAT???!!" and then called us back and signed immediately. This story accomplishes two things. 1) It shows how Mike Huff leaving without a deal does not necessarily mean we won't...

Whoever says "we don't have a cap problem this year" is wrong. Whoever is saying we shouldn't restructure to free up space is just not realistic. It's what we have to do to get by. Also, you keep mentioning we are pushing guaranteed money into future years. We aren't. We are paying more...

does this mean no physical? Do free agents normally take physicals before signing? I've heard of players doing this when they are coming off major injuries but not regular free agents.

No, no. Much better to pay Romo $16 m and Spencer $10 m and then lose at least 1 of them next year and then have to overpay the other with a franchise tag to stay. That's the much better plan.

I like Huff in Kiffin's scheme. Safety with corner like skills. Allen doesn't suck but doesn't impress me either (which means we'll sign him). I think Justin Durant was the reason the Lions were comfortable moving Ernie Sims in the first place. Plus, he's from Hampton, my almost alma mater.

why are people and more importantly the media harping on us bringing in free agents and "don't have the money to sign them"?? If the Romo extension is as close to done as being reported we could have as much as $10M in cap room today.

    Romo extension close

biggest question...what does it bring his 2013 cap number down to? It's currently $16,818,833.

    MacMahon: Advanced scouting: Ryan Nassib

Nassib has a rocket arm but no off switch, everything's a missile.

Which rookies do you hope will not be drafted by NFC East rivals?

no one in this draft really scares me. a lot of "potential" guys who could be beasts or could be busts. no one from West Virginia scares me. The only person in this draft who scares me is a 70-year old hillbilly who sits center camera in our War Room.

Giants' Coughlin rips into overweight Pierre-Paul

They should trade him, to us, for a 7th rounder in 2014. That'll teach him.

    Cowboys (Mock) War Room

I just took Tyler Wilson QB Arkansas with my other 5th round pick. Again, a value thing. Don't think he'll make it there in real life. Plus, one of my top scouts (Midswat) assured me, hell he guaranteed, Tyler Wilson will be the top overall pick in 2013.
