Flat Earth Theory. Long post. Sorry.

I thought part of the point of Omega's post was the importance of the running game -- which of course they had back then with Emmitt -- but which Garrett has modified to the point that under him we have games with ridiculous imbalances like 60 passes and 11 runs. Besides, people always...

Cowboys message board gets so negative admins threaten to boot worst naysayers

They seriously banned you for that? But I guess that's their old standby "questioning the mods" that they use as an excuse to get rid of people they don't like. As to why, it's not the word "trustfund". It's letters 4-7 in the word, as lame as that is.

Hardy's Interview W/Schefter Not Really Helpful

I doubt Garrett cares about the Bisaccia incident. But supposedly Hardy called Garrett a MFer or a bitch in front of the team. Which made my estimation of Hardy skyrocket.

    The Panama Papers

Putin is a known kleptocrat along with the few others who carved up the country after the fall of the USSR, but I doubt the people care. And even if they did or do, there's nothing they can do about it...

    The Panama Papers

I guess I don't see why this would be any kind of a big deal. People of all income levels don't want to pay any more taxes than they have to. Maybe if you're an avowed socialist and you're on the list it makes you look hypocritical, and that could be a little embarrassing. But beyond that, why...

    2016 NFL Draft Thread...

Long time fan of Kubiak's system, and you're right that it will bring out the best in marginal QBs (see Matt Schaub). But I still don't think CK is a guy you want leading your franchise. His mentality bothers me as much as anything. That's the part I don't get about Denver wanting him.

That's definitely part of it for me, too. Coleman always seems to catch everything outside with little traffic. But I've seen Doctson catch passes over the middle as he's about to get hit and he still comes down with the ball. I didn't see the CBS report, but that's very surprising they'd...

    2016 NFL Draft Thread...

Coleman I really think might be overrated. I don't buy into "system players" too much, but I think Coleman might be one. He got a ton of one on ones in wide open field in Briles' system, and yes, he usually won. But while he's athletic, he's not in the freaky category, and he's not big at...

Doctson and Coleman I can't believe we'd get unless maybe Doctson fell to our second, which he may not do. I love Doctson though. Listenbee would be very interesting though. Probably the fastest guy and first true burner we've had since Galloway. I don't know why this offense has seemed...

Yeah, I'd say because he's a heck of a talent, and you should be able to use a big talented defensive lineman somehow. Besides, not every 43 coach insists on undersized speed guys like Marinelli does. There's a good chance Buckner would be here longer than Marinelli anyway.

On another note, have any of the Bob McGinn articles been posted yet? Love those because he has quotes from actual scouts, and they're brutally honest. The draft is getting so hyped, more and more every year, that it's refreshing to hear some negatives on these guys. If it hasn't been posted...

Not an article but here's a "scouting report" from Walter Football. You know it's crap from the very first positive. Claiborne never had "elite speed" or even close. Also, on Ramsey -- I've barely seen him at all, but it's a huge red flag to me when people are saying he might be a better...

Not finding value in late-round picks is why Cowboys have been struggling

Well Seattle has good coaches and a great culture, too. Total opposite of what we have.

Not finding value in late-round picks is why Cowboys have been struggling

That's where Jerry's deep pockets come in. Some of these guys like Leary are known by everyone to be talented, but Jerry outbids everyone. That has nothing to do with scouting talent, though. It's just being willing and able to spend money. If the draft were 12 rounds like in the old days...
