    Premature Prognostication

You guys who are saying we'll win 6-8 games, that's assuming Romo gets hurt at some point, right? That's a fair assumption, but assume for a second he stays healthy. How many then? I mean there aren't many left who think Romo can't play, right? Or are you assuming he'll fall off that age...

    Premature Prognostication

10-6 to 11-5 as long as Romo is ok. Our offensive talent is insane. They should score a ton, making opposing offenses one-dimensional thus making our mediocre defense look a lot better than they are.

Why former Baylor basketball player Gathers was too good for the 'boys to pass up

Coached by one of the greatest head coaches in history who also had a great coaching staff. Contrast to today. And with the way no other TE behind Witten has developed here, and in fact gone on to play better after they left than they ever did here, I don't know why anyone would trust that...

With draft and free agency complete... which standard guys are on the bubble?

I do wonder if they'd cut Free. Especially with Steve supposedly bragging up Chaz Green lately. I can't really think of anyone else. Maybe McClain if he fricks up again? But then they have no one behind him. Sad when you think about it. Go 1-11 minus Romo and almost the entire starting...

Is 2016 "it" for the "windows closing?"

Really? I don't know, you might be right. But he is 36, not 39 or 40. Manning was okay until really this year when he fell off the cliff, and of course Brady is still going strong. Just all depends on pure luck as to when and how he gets hit, I guess. And if his back holds up.

Is 2016 "it" for the "windows closing?"

No doubt about it. Of course that doesn't matter to the Jones Boys, whose primary goal is to defend their own reputations. They'd be happy with 6-10 if it got them in the playoffs, especially that home game. To them that would show how competent they are. Back to your question, Jerry is so...

Is 2016 "it" for the "windows closing?"

If we went 8-8, he might actually be gone. Maybe. If we went 9-7. I bet he'd stay and Jerry would find some excuse again. Probably tout that we improved by five whole games over the previous year. It will be injuries again, or rookies who made mistakes but showed improvement, or something...

Looking back at the Cowboys' draft, Jalen Ramsey really never had a chance at No. 4

Gosselin is a tool but he's right on this one. This is the braintrust trying too hard to outsmart everyone. Why wouldn't the Cowboys be able to get Gathers in UFA? It's close to home for the player, Jerry has always bid high for UFAs he really wanted, it's still the incredibly popular...

MMQB on Cowboys draft day scene

Sorry, junk. They're the same guy anyway, right? (Some days the dementia is worse than others.)

MMQB on Cowboys draft day scene

I guess I'm still shocked that they're discussing their options while on the clock. I get that crazy things happen in the draft and you have to be ready to evaluate your options when unforseen circumstances arise, but at #4 overall when you know what the first two picks are, you should have...

MMQB on Cowboys draft day scene

Props to Juke for mentioning this article. Interesting stuff. MON MAY. 2, 2016 Stars and Second Guesses: Inside the Dallas Draft Room The Cowboys were elated after picking Ezekiel Elliott and Jaylon Smith, but owner Jerry Jones was left lamenting the one that got away. Plus more on the event...

Stephen Jones to Dez Bryant: Try showing up in shape this time

Sad that Stephen and even spare assistants like Dooley have to say these kinds of things. Our HC is too concerned that his players like him to say anything that strong.

Interesting take on near future QB searches

Yeah, I don't really agree with the premise. If you lack a QB, you don't need one worse because your previous one was a great player like a Brady or Brees. The teams that are coming off a failed Blaine Gabbert or Christian Ponder need one just as badly. There simply aren't enough good QBs to...

Looking back at the Cowboys' draft, Jalen Ramsey really never had a chance at No. 4

Really, why? I think Collins looks exactly the part in the highlights I've seen. But supposedly his motor isn't always that good, which would explain why that physical talent didn't produce that many stats. That's what worries me about him. Tapper I think can and will be a very solid guy, I...

JJT: Jumping jacks drill shows what Jason Garrett expects from Cowboys' rookies

:lol What's funny is I've read multiple reports from fans of how lazy and disorganized our pregame stretching routine is.

I've become such a cowboy scrooge, anyone else get irritated at the annual pump up?

Exactly. News flash, Tyron and Witten and Frederick aren't going to play every game the rest of their careers. Those are prime injury excuse candidates, and the powers that be have shown they'll use that excuse given the opportunity.

I've become such a cowboy scrooge, anyone else get irritated at the annual pump up?

Don't think I've ever agreed as much with almost every post in a thread like this one. How does your friend explain our amazing team building and coaching three headed monster :lol going 1-11 without Romo? Oh right. It was Dez and the game-changing OScan also.
