    2016 NFL Week #2: Dallas Cowboys (0-1) @ Washington Redskins (0-1)

He does look very good. Hard to believe he didn't even really play in preseason. One thing I notice is even as big as he is, he has some quickness to him. Cousins yesterday looked like everything he did was in molasses.

Bears can thank me later for the jinx. :lol

    2016 NFL Week #2: Dallas Cowboys (0-1) @ Washington Redskins (0-1)

Is it possible for a team to quit in the first quarter of the second game of the year? Because it looks like the Bears have. If we can't beat them at home when they're traveling on a short week, we're in trouble. Eagles look like they're playing very hard, just like they did in preseason...

    2016 NFL Week #2: Dallas Cowboys (0-1) @ Washington Redskins (0-1)

You know what I meant. They didn't give him the contract he wanted.

    2016 NFL Week #2: Dallas Cowboys (0-1) @ Washington Redskins (0-1)

Early on, my thought was that this defense was even worse than I imagined. Looks like Cousins is the terrible QB he was at the end of the 2014 season, and they were smart to deny him that long term contract.

Not sure. It wasn't one of those gruesome-looking injuries, but he couldn't put any weight on it.

It's just ridiculous how good Aaron Rodgers is.

Yeah, but one of Minny or Green Bay will be also, and Philly could be after tomorrow night.

DMN: Grading the Cowboys: Why offense gets worst grade in win over Redskins

^ Yep. Sturm was talking in the pregame about how we're #21 or 22 in the league in defensive cap spending. Our defense shouldn't be expected to be that good. They looked terrible today IMO but that's about all you can expect given the resources allocated there.

Interesting blurb about Bruce Arieas in MMQB

Even Mike Brown is ahead of Jerry now.

    2016 NFL Week #2: Dallas Cowboys (0-1) @ Washington Redskins (0-1)

No kidding. The Ticket was talking about a team of 11 year olds all kneeling recently. Absurd. Kaepernick may completely mean well, I don't know, but it sure feels like a publicity/popularity stunt at this point.

DMN: Is Dez Bryant a top 5 WR in the NFL? Why Tim Cowlishaw would say "no"

As far as Dez getting the ball, it's probably better if they don't put Norman on him. If they don't, he'll surely be doubled on the other side and we know what that means -- instant move to the next read.

Interesting blurb about Bruce Arieas in MMQB

Watch the Football Life on him. He's so legit. He paid his dues and worked his way up, even coached for Bear Bryant. Not a phony bone in his body.

Championship teams are built in April, and Dallas missed out by being too cavalier

Old material I know, but I don't see how contracts like the Barber or especially Ratliff ones hurt us that bad. What good players did we have to get rid of because of them? Nobody. I'm not saying especially the Barber one was smart, because small physical backs usually don't last in this...

Scandrick misses practice with sore hamstring

Said it before, but Scandrick is getting a little long in the tooth. Doesn't seem like it, but he's been around for almost a decade now. Old players get hurt and speed players can't be effective when they can't run.

Sullivan: Like Other Teams, Cowboys Have to Find Ways To Get Dez Involved

It was Stewart. But I don't believe that was the reason anyway. Capers was a Garrett guy and Garrett was trying to set up his future staff like he had with Houck and a couple others Jerry chose with Garrett ties. I think Wade balked at that -- Garrett got the coaches he wanted on offense but I...

Championship teams are built in April, and Dallas missed out by being too cavalier

It is Spaulding's mom. She was on the Ticket last week and said he thinks he's a scouting guru, so there's your future GM. Also, she looks like Jerry in the face. Would never hit.

Good point. Wilcox should never be on the field except maybe in short yardage defense. So why was he playing over Jones? If Wilcox comes in for anyone, it should be for Church.
