Harbaugh: 49ers will start 'hot hand'

Landry's Super Bowls are more recent than Harbaugh's. ... and you kids stay off of my lawn.

Harbaugh: 49ers will start 'hot hand'

For every Tom Brady there are at least a dozen Elvis Grbacs. ... but more to the point, I believe in Tom Landry's rule that starters do not lose their positions due to injury. Rarely did Landry go against this rule. He believed that when players believed they'd lose their jobs if injured...

Harbaugh: 49ers will start 'hot hand'

Harbaugh is a fine coach, but he's making a mistake in this case. Your starting QB shouldn't lose his starting job due to an injury .... particularly when he (Smith) had been playing well. Give NFL defensive coordinators a few full games of film on Kaepernick and then we'll see how great he is.

Great moments in Cowboys vs Redskins

I attended the 2002 Thanksgiving Cowboys-Redskins game. Cowboys won a relatively close one. No particularly great moments ... although Roy Williams did return an interception for a touchdown and Emmitt Smith had a productive day. Perhaps the most memorable moment took place during halftime...

Stock Report: Dez Bryant is up and Doug Free is down

I think that's a great question. Pure speculation on my part, but discontinued use of performance enhancing drugs? Who knows....

Good piece by Sturm - Decoding Garrett week 10

Anybody who was paying attention last year knew or should have known that the Dallas OL was not ready for prime time and that Jerry's half-assed efforts to upgrade the OL with mediocre spare parts / castaways from other teams was a disaster in the making. All of this was entirely predictable...

    Ginger Just Won't Die

Could it be that the Browns fans just don't travel as well as most other NFL teams? I mean, it seems like a quarter to a third of the people who attend Cowboys home games are actually fans of the opposition. Maybe the Browns fans were missing. (Plus, I gotta believe that even the empty seats...

Jerry Jones comments muffled as he can't pull his head out of his ass

Jerry is speaking like a politician. Say something that is untrue often enough and you can convince listeners that what you say is actually true. In this case, though, it sounds like Jerry is trying to convince himself that everything is just peachy with the OL.

    Back from early retirement

Good to have you back. The OL flat out stinks. This team will go as far as their OL takes them. By my calculation, this is somewhere between Euless and Bedford.

    Tennessee Vols fans....

I could see it happening, but I hate the idea of Petrino landing a big time college job so quickly.

    2012 Season Game Threads Mega-Merge

Interesting call to kick that field goal at that distance ... Garrett is lucky it went his way. Oh, and the kicker is money.

So every play known to man can be reviewed except a bogus horsecollar tackle. The NFL is a flawed game.

Cowboys Offering Commemorative T-Shirt For Cleveland Browns Game

The most memorable Cowboys-Browns games were playoff games of the late 1960's, in which the Cowboys were beaten. Any Cowboys fan from that era will tell you that those were remarkably disappointing losses. The team more or less choked. The single most memorable moment for me was when, late...

Romo on Dez Bryant coming full circle

Yeah, much of the time he doesn't seem ready for prime time. He seems like a nice enough guy, but he's not the brightest bulb in the lamp. I don't know that he has it in him to "play smart."
