Ross Tucker article that mentions our 2003 draft class

Yes! I remember that back then. There was many a teeth gnashing about that.

Per Shefter- Boys trying to sign Eric Winston

Tell me you can't see Jerry looking puzzled when his corn-riddled turd does not go down and he rattles the handle in stupidity like it will make a difference. You can't. It is a perfect picture to how he does football business.

The Patriots were not "outbid". They actually gave Welker an offer that paid him more up front and he refused to take the bait and went to a Denver contract that probably had more potential dead money in it. In other words, the Patriots were smart...and the Broncos were dumb. Welker will...

That appears to be the case. I don't know what the hell happened to this guy, but he used to be a lot smarter.

I don't need Jerry to pimp up my "internet personna". The Jerry stuff is real, because, well, he and what is becoming more and more evident each day, Goof Son are creating their own misery by their unwise decisions regarding giving contracts out like candy, even for minimal production. Let...

Per Shefter- Boys trying to sign Eric Winston

Have you paid any attention to what Winston, from his own mouth has said the last few days? He's freaking out. He felt he would be snapped up quickly and he's not. He's frustrated by the process. He asked for too much from San Diego and his agent is posturing. Far as we all know, Dallas...

Really? They could sign whomever, but they would be stupid to do it given their current situation. Even for this hillbilly family. So...you got nothing other than...rest assured, Jerry could get it done if he wanted. And Winston's like a Texan at heart and stuff. Jerry's just being as...

These are veterans. They are not interested in a shell game where there is a bunch of money they will never see. I am no Adamjt, but I don't think we have but what...five million in cap space? Winston wants $3-4 mill a year and it will be mostly up front. And I doubt he's going to take some...

Per Shefter- Boys trying to sign Eric Winston

It is all about attention, not about the reality of where Dallas is in relation to the cap. And no...we don't have "plenty of money". There is a reason we are being calculated with what we are doing. Believe me, if things were as free as you suggest, we'd be signing a lot more in free agency...

If that is the case, Drew is losing his touch. Client wants $3-4 million a year, team with no cap room is interested!

That is nice, but that first round choice will end up shaping the rest of your draft. Take Hopkins early, it makes you rule out other WRs who might actually help. Honestly, there are better players which are likely to be at 31. I like the idea of a trade down, even though I have no idea who...

    4/6 - Mock

This draft falls off bad after the first 100 or so in terms of linemen who are likely to start. We are not in a position to take fliers there. We have to get a starter, at least, for the OL.

Bales: Why I don't think LSU's 'Honey Badger' will be on Cowboys' draft board

Some of our best players had weed things. Lett loved it. While it is nice to look at this "right kinda guy" stuff, there are times where the ability to make plays should trump it and you take a risk. Now if you take players who never made plays and weren't productive, that loved weed, then...

    4/6 - Mock

I doubt Schwenke makes it that far, even Mayock has him ahead of both Barrett Jones and Frederick. Quessenberry is a nice player who would be excellent depth. Faulk is coming off a knee injury and cannot even workout for scouts right now. Again, if we do not get a lineman in the first three...

Bales: Why I don't think LSU's 'Honey Badger' will be on Cowboys' draft board

Mathieu is not a RKCDB. Not a Right Kinda Cowboys DB. He takes too many risks even though he makes so many plays. We prefer passive, thinking, defensive backs who get paralysis in coverage because they are too chickenshit to make a play.

    4/6 - Mock

We are probably going to get fortunate to have one OL in the first few rounds. If we do not get a quality one in the first three picks, we might as well not bother as the depth, while good, drops off quickly after the third round.

Nor does the WR with the first pick. I would strongly doubt he is the BPA at that point.

NFLN Ian Rappaport- Cowboys contacted Tyson Clabo

Or some scout's pet that honestly Jerry Jones buys into because he cannot judge for himself. The draft is best done when you take more "sure things". I have yet to see a great, consistent franchise built on dice rolls.
