Eatmans book "If These Walls Could Talk"

I've also heard Broaddus give Parcells the credit for Witten. Said Bill pretty much stayed out of things that first draft because he hadn't been there long enough to influence things yet, but he really wanted Witten from the start and when he was still there in the third, he "stood on the...

How Tony Romo and Jason Garrett’s relationship fell apart :-(

Yep. A decade of this snake oil salesman and no relief in sight. As long as Jerry is comfortable, that's all that matters.

How Tony Romo and Jason Garrett’s relationship fell apart :-(

All that praise but I guess he wasn't as impressive as Connor Cook. Even someone even on the zzzone made a good point that Garrett's "choice" of Dak helped give him another few years of cushion. With Romo there was pressure to win his last couple of years, but now Garrett has several years of...

What happened to McClay or Garrett or whoever wanting only major-program players? We're looking at a lot of smaller college guys.

Why Stephen Jones isn't fretting over Cowboys' free-agent losses

Exactly. And of counting too heavily on rookies in general. Not everyone is a Dak or Zeke who get it right away. The vast majority aren't.

Why Stephen Jones isn't fretting over Cowboys' free-agent losses

Again, though, if they were so bad and so easily replaced, why were they here and playing for so long? Church was here for seven years, Carr and Claiborne for five. And to be clear, I don't think they're good, so I don't mind letting them go. I'm talking more about finding other FAs to...

The one and only Jaylon (Gimp) Smith thread

I wonder if there is a greater injury risk playing with the brace. Seems like not having feeling/function in being able to flex your foot up and counting on a mechanical device to do so might make it more likely for you to get hurt down there.

Why Stephen Jones isn't fretting over Cowboys' free-agent losses

Exactly. To all the people elsewhere saying "They sucked, Heath is better anyway"... Then why wasn't he starting ahead of Wilcox and Church last year? I wish someone would ask Steve that. He pretty much trashed everyone we let go, but no one asked why the supposed better players behind them...

Why Stephen Jones isn't fretting over Cowboys' free-agent losses

Yeah, Claiborne wasn't just hurt a lot. He also pretty much sucked even when his mentally weak non-tackling pussy ass would play with boo-boos. He wasn't any good until five years into his contract.

Why Stephen Jones isn't fretting over Cowboys' free-agent losses

People like cmd and I have talked about this for a while, but this isn't MLB where you lose draft picks when you sign free agents. So why does it have to be either/or? Call me crazy, but I'd take a guy like Alshon Jeffery over Terrence Williams. Why wouldn't he have been a good fit for this team?

Why Stephen Jones isn't fretting over Cowboys' free-agent losses

I'm not going strictly off this article, and of course he doesn't expressly state it. But reading between the lines for a while now, it's clear that's what he thinks. And sure, that's great if you can pull it off. I'm sure he envisions something like the Packers who rarely use FA. But not...
